Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed at this wonderful home with family and friend for 5-days leading up to our daughter's wedding. It was only 1-mile from the wedding venue (Hans Fahden Winery), and less than 10 minutes from downtown Calistoga. It is a warm 2-story home, nestled in the middle of a beautiful vineyard, in the Napa/Sonoma wine country. The home sleeps 8 people very comfortably, with each bedroom having its own bath. Complete with a full kitchen, large family room, a large front porch and an even larger back deck (room for outdoor dining). Two Bar-B-Ques, washer/dryer, and a clean hot tub. All the comforts of home, in a wonderful setting. If you are planning a trip to this area, skip the expensive hotels and stay here. Our family & friends from Calif., Colorado, Michigan and Oregon loved staying at this home, and you will too.

Winter weekend in Calistoga

  • 4 of 5

Our group rented the Chelsea Vineyards home for a weekend in Calistoga. The property is exactly as you see in the pictures. Very easy to find and a beautiful location. Unfortunately the weather was awful so we could not enjoy the outside amenities but in the summer the place would be amazing. The kitchen is large and fairly well stocked. The home is extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. They management were also so kind to give us early checkin which we really appreciated. The only little miss was that the heat was off when we got there and the house was freezing. The fridge was also turned on way too cold and froze our food on the top shelf. When you come and go from the property, you do need to unlock, open and lock a ranch gate. The lock is quite tight so it can be a bit challenging.

We had a small ant problem (probably due to the weather) which they addressed well. Susan was a delight to work with, answered all of our questions and gave me plenty of information.

The home is close to Calistoga but not walking distance. It is a very quiet, peaceful location. This is a wonderful location and property for several couples or a large family.

This was my first experience using Home Away and I hope my future ones are as good!

Thank you !

A gem in the middle of a vineyard

  • 5 of 5

I have never stayed on a house in a vineyard so when our group decided to hold our planning session at Chelsea Vineyards Home there was the usual skepticism. Upon entering the property, those doubts immediately vanished! A very unassuming house on the outside but just gorgeous on the inside. Comfy and clean and the view was amazing. Everything was nicely set up and stocked and the antique furniture gave the place a lovely homey feel. We loved it! Needless to say, our planning went on smoothly and will definitely consider a return visit!

Lovely place!

  • 5 of 5

We just had our team planning in this very beautiful place! The house is very neat and has everything we need! This is really a better choice than the hotel that we originally planned. Love to come back for a vacation mode this time. :)

Chelsea Vineyard

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Chelsea Vineyard for my sisters bachelorette party weekend. The house was amazing. The setting in the middle of the vineyard is like a fairy tale. The house is so cutely decorated and very comfortable. Downtown Calistoga is a 10 minute drive away and has awesome restaurants and spas. This is the perfect setting for a weekend getaway!

Lovely weekend in Napa

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I just returned from a lovely weekend in Napa. The Chelsea Vineyard home was perfect for our needs. We cooked a lot in the kitchen, enjoyed the hot tub and were very comfortable in this cozy home. The setting in the middle if the vineyard was just gorgeous!

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

A great place to gather four families that had not all been together for 50 years. Our families came from Australia, Norway, Maryland and Wisconsin. We enjoyed cooking in each evening and catching up. The house provided comfortable area's inside and out to sit and visit. We were close to all the wineries we chose to visit. We will definitely recommend to others. The owners were quick to respond to questions and very pleasant to work with.
