About Christina Iverson
My husband and I bought the house a few years ago. I grew up in Spokane and have a large family, but we and my three children have lived in both Uganda and India these past 6 years. We wanted a house we could come home to, to visit friends and family. Because we spend most of our time abroad, we wanted a house we could rent and use at the same time. I love old houses, and instantly fell in love with this one. It's a craftsman in a wonderful neighborhood, and is 3 blocks from my brother, and 8 blocks from my sister. I also have another sister and two other brothers, as well as my folks, in Spokane. I have tried to bring a touch of India to the house with beautiful linens and comforters. It feels like home to me, and we hope our guests feel the same way.
Christina Iverson purchased this House in 2011
Why Christina Iverson chose Manito
The house is charming. The neighborhood is quiet, established, and perfectly located.
What makes this House unique
I fell in love with the house as soon as I saw the front porch, the wood work and built-in book shelves in the living and dining area, and the back yard. Everything is located on one floor, perfect for small children. When we used to travel with our three, I always wanted my kids close to me, not on another floor.
Great place, great location, great experience! This wonderful craftsman home was absolutely perfect
The house had everything we needed and was really close to all the downtown restaurants as well as easy access to a ton of outdoor activities. We were rained out one morning but had a fine time hanging out in the cozy living room. Would absolutely enjoy staying here again!
Great location and beautiful home! Has everything you need. Would love to stay here again!!
Great location for a family Gonzaga graduation celebration! Go Zags!!
Great location. Quiet, convenient and in lovely neighborhood. House as pictured. Roomy and comfortable. Big enough to accommodate dinner guests in dining room and common area living space.
Kitchen was stocked with majority of needed items( dishes, pans, etc). Nothing fancy, but had all we needed. Layout of common areas works well for family and extra guests. Front porch is nice and great morning coffee spot. Nice to have a market within walking distance. Neighborhood is safe and very walkable. About 5 minutes to downtown and 10 minutes driving distance to Gonzaga campus.
Great location in a really Charming neighborhood
Pros: A beautiful, old Craftsman, house, lots of space, big bedrooms and sizeable bathroom. Neighborhood is quiet and there are cool rocking chairs to sip coffee in the morning and relax. All the basic amenities (wifi, TV, full kitchen) you'd expect are there and it was easy to get in and out of the house. Nearby walk to a cool ice cream shop and Cannon Hill park with a playground for kids.
Cons: Furniture is a bit dated. No headboards on the beds. Lighting is sparse throughout the house, not much of a backyard space. Only one bathroom.
We were there for 3 nights with 4 adults and a toddler - I'd rent it again.
A nice vintage home away from home!
A nice vintage home away from home! This home is super clean, neat and tidy with everything necessary for very comfortable stay. Great front porch with rocking chairs! This South Hill location is in a nice quiet family neighborhood with good on-street parking, is close to a local market and only a short drive to downtown. This was the perfect gathering spot and base camp for our week. Recommended!
Perfect location. Charming and clean.
Quiet neighborhood. We especially loved the porch with four rocking chairs.
