Welcome to "Hull of a View!" In 2015, we bought this house because we couldn't pass up the view. We then completed an approximately $50k renovation including new flooring, granite counters, new stainless steal appliances, a refurbished deck and a double-decker dock. We keep it very clean and clutter free and our goal is to make you so comfortable and happy that you will want to come back year after year.

The house is in the first cove just off the main lake near Washburn's Marina on the very popular Pea Hill Creek. Here are the basics:

We have 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms.

Bedroom 1 is on the top floor. It has 4 Single Beds side by side with bedside tables between each. In other words - NO bunk beds!

Bedroom 2 is on the top floor. It has 2 Double Beds.

Bedroom 3 is on the main level and has a King Bed.

Bedroom 4 is on the lower level and has a King Bed.

There is one full bathroom on each level.

You enter the house on the main level which has a completely open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling and sky lights. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and counter seating. The dining area has a long wooden table that can seat up to 10. The living area has a new leather sectional and a flat screen TV. The back wall of the main level has 2 large glass sliders and 1 large window all looking out to the lake and opening up to a deck which runs across the entire back of the house. The deck has a couple of loungers, table seating for 10 and a gas grill (with back-up propane). The lower level has a ping pong table, couch and love seat and a flat screen TV and a XBOX 360 Gaming System. The back wall of the the lower level has 3 large sliders looking out to the lake and opening up to a concrete patio. We find the patio to be the perfect place to play corn-hole and it is lit for play at night. We keep corn-hole boards in the closet under the stairs on the lower level.

If you try, you will catch fish off the dock. Little guys and the occasional bass will be caught very close to the dock and catfish will be caught about 10 - 20 feet off the end of the dock where the original stream bed lies. The dock has a 11' x 23' covered wet slip available for guests and a table for 4 on the lower level. We have two ladders. One is at the end of the dock where it is about 6 feet deep. A little ways out, it drops off to about 10 - 12 feet deep. The other ladder is near the bulkhead where it is about 2 feet deep and is perfect for the little ones (the bottom has shells and small rocks so water shoes are recommended). The dock's upper level sundeck is HUGE with 6 loungers, a table and chairs for 6 and 6 plastic Adirondack chairs with tons of room to spread out. If you like shade, we have some large trees near the dock and you can find some shade on the sundeck until a little after noon. The dock's lower level has electric lights for night time activities and the upper level has solar lighting around the railings.

Convenience and Location: We love having Washburn's Marina and Convenience Store right in our cove and we think you will, too. You can fill up your boat with gas, get scooped ice-cream, basic convenience store food along with bait, tackle and some boating supplies. Brothers Daniel and Wilson Washburn are second generation owner/operators and are super friendly. Pop in, say hi and ask them anything about the lake and you will get a good answer. Washburn's is in the cove which has the affect of slowing boats down and it is far enough away that boats generally don't come anywhere near our dock. So we get very little boat traffic and very few wakes/waves. Food Lion, Lake Gaston Pizza, Ace Hardware and are less than 10 minutes away. Mini-golf is about 5 minutes away. A public boat ramp is less than 5 minutes away.

We have room on our driveway to park at least 5 cars without blocking another car in. The driveway is about 100+ feet long and then opens up to a turnaround and parking area. We can turn our 19' boat in the driveway without much trouble. If your boat is much bigger than that, you may want to walk down the driveway and take an assessment before deciding to pull your boat all the way down the drive.

Customer service is where we really try to excel. We respond lightening fast to emails and phone calls. There is no waiting around hours or days when you reach out to us and our calendar stays up to date. My phone is on 24/7. My number is on the fridge at the house and it is there for you to use if needed at anytime. If you have an issue at 3 am, call me.

I'm a lake guy. I didn't know it until I visited friends at Lake Gaston in 2010 and I've been crazy about Lake Gaston ever since. It might also have something to do with my parents taking my siblings and me to see JAWS when I was four years old in the Summer while at the beach. By the way, Lake Gaston has had exactly zero shark attacks ever.

What makes this house unique

It has a great view and the largest sundeck I have seen at the lake. You are literally not allowed to build them as big anymore. It is super convenient to everything. We aim to provide insanely good customer service and a clean, clean, clean house every time.

View and house are equally AWSOME!

Loved the view and the house equally. All the amino ties were clean and up to date. The house is in a great location. Easy access to the grocery store and the gas station. There are also a couple of places to eat close by as well as a paddle board rental place.

Wonderful vacation home!

From the time we booked the house from the day we checked out our experience was outstanding. Brian was always immediately responsive and enormously helpful for everything we needed to make our stay great. The house is very well appointed with everything you could need; it was very clean and the view is spectacular. Everyone had an amazing time enjoying the lake and the only downside was having to leave:-) Will definitely be back. Thanks Brian for a wonderful vacation!
