About Gracie V.
We decided to make Pasadena our home because of it's small town feel, beautiful neighborhoods and world renowned academic and cultural institutions, such as, the Rose Bowl, The Gamble House, Cal Tech, Norton Simon Museum, Pasadena Playhouse and Old Town Pasadena. Yet, we are only a short drive to Downtown Los Angeles and a 30 minute drive to Santa Monica Beaches. If you are looking for a beautiful space to enjoy your stay in Pasadena or visit Los Angeles or Disneyland, our house is the perfect place.
Gracie V. purchased this House in 2002
Why Gracie V. chose South Arroyo
We fell in love with this Beautiful 1908 Craftsman Home and the Lower Arroyo Seco Neighborhood and it's collection of distinctive architecturally significant homes.
What makes this House unique
We love walking to Old Town, the Rose Bowl Games and we are three blocks from the Tournament of Roses House, also known as the Wrigley Mansion to experience a close up view of the Rose Parade on New Year's Day.

Glorious Stay in an absolute lovely home!
Our stay could not have been better. The house is lovely. We had eight family members and were completely comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated, has high end bedding, linens, and a back yard with multiple seating and dining areas that was a great space for the family to gather! The house is located less than a block from the Arroyo for those inclined to hike and is very accessible to everything you could need in Pasadena. It's also a short ride on the 110 to downtown L.A. I've done a lot of renting on VRBO and cannot recommend the experience highly enough. Gracie was welcoming and took care of everything we needed.
We were sad to leave!
A family wedding brought us to this lovely home in Pasadena. We were a party of 7 adults and 2 dogs. 4 nights were not enough--wish we had a whole week!
We loved the traditional /whimsical/modern decor of this home complete with a grand piano and library! The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is modern and complete. We loved sitting out next to the outdoor mid-century fire place each evening. The garden/yard with wind chimes, a hammock and vintage lights hanging overhead made our bbq night such a treat. Throughout the whole house, inside and out, are nooks with seating areas which were great for reading, working on our laptops, needlepointing, or meditating. The Arroyo Seco Park trail is a block away and was perfect for hiking our dogs. Gracie, the owner was so accommodating and welcoming--we felt completely comfortable and at home. Thank you again Gracie! I hope to make it back another time! (Btw, we had so much fun with the Buddha Board we bought one for our home--it's the little things...)
Not just a house but a home!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Eclectic, warm, indoor/outdoor living in a beautiful historic vintage Pasadena home. This home has so much charm and is location, location, location. We enjoyed hiking in the Arroyo and it's close proximity to fabulous downtown restaurants.
This home is well appointed clean and comfortable. Loved all the personal touches. Thank you so much for opening and sharing your home with us! We would love to visit again.
Perfect location in Pasadena
Our stay in this home was lovely! The home is well appointed and very comfortable. There were 8 of us (two families with tweener kids) and there was plenty of space for us to spread out through the house. The bedrooms were a good size and beds were comfortable. The heart of the house was in the kitchen/den area which we found inviting. We enjoyed walking into the Arroyo and it was a 5 minutes drive to get to the heart of Pasadena where all the restaurants and events are located. Though we did not go to any events there (we walked there to see it), the Rose Bowl is also very close. The owners were great and were very accessible. I would highly recommend this listing in Pasadena and we are planning stay there again next time we come to the area.
Charming and comfortable!
This was, without a doubt, a charming home! It has modern appliances, renovations, and necessities, yet it manages not to lose its craftsman charm. Bedrooms are comfortable, and the photos do not mislead you. There are plenty of nice spaces around the house to be in and relax in. The backyard is dog-friendly (for medium-large dogs like my own), and the property is at a great location. It's very easy to find things to do and places to eat in Pasadena, and the house is only a skip away from the Arroyo and the route for the Rose Parade. Hope to visit again soon!
Perfect House for Bridal Party to prepare for the Big Day
ighting of the home was excellent for pictures and getting make up and hair done.
The interior was inviting, spacious and comforting. The property is classic craftsman with modern appliances, decorations and charm. The owners took special care to have fresh flowers, champagne and snacks available for me, the bride, and my friends. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious space to prepare for their special day.
