About Vincent Connolly

Hello!

Thanks for visiting the Killington Mountain House website. I've owned and managed this property since 2004 and it's brought great excitement for me and my family. I'm passionate about snowboarding, mountain biking and simply being outdoors- Vermont proved to be a very special getaway. Over the years I've called Killington and Burlington Vermont home and eventually made my way out west to Steamboat Springs and now Evergreen Colorado.

I manage this house with the help of a great team that includes my neighbor Gerald/Caretaker, Rose/Cleaning Lady and Andy/Handyman. I'm constantly upgrading the property to ensure that there is a great vacation experience for the families, groups and businesses that rent the property.

I've worked in the athletic/action sports industry for the past 25 years - starting at Princeton Ski Shop where I was the snowboard buyer and GM. Later I worked for Ride Snowboards as a Rep and then moved to Steamboat Springs to work for Boa Technology. My passion for snowboarding took me back to Vermont to work for Burton Snowboards and now I'm back in Colorado as the Global Category Director at Boa Technology in Denver.

My wife Moriah is from Morrisville Vermont and we have two children. Life is great and we get back to Vermont often to see family, friends and the Killington Mountain House.

I'm available 24/7 so please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions about the house or the Killington area.

Cheers,

Vincent Connolly

Great Experience with the owner and the property

  • 5 of 5

Rented this home the 1st weekend of June 2009. Working with the owner was very easy, as he was quick to respond and very professional. (Due to my career, 90% of the communication was done via e-mail). The house was in excellent condition when we arrived. It was very clean, well organized and had everything you would need (towels, Toilet Paper, kitchen appliances, Stereos, firewood, etc.) The location was just as the owner had described - my group was looking for a large home, where we could spent evenings in the backyard without disturbing the neighbors.I've rented homes in Killington Vt for the last few years, but this was one of the best. Very satisfied customer.

Great Long Weekend for large group!

  • 5 of 5

We had a big group and the house did not feel crowded at all! We had groups of people going into town for various activities, some people on the mountain skiing, and others hanging in the hot tub. The house was really well laid out to allow for different vibes for different folks. We had nights of people playing various games in various living areas, or playing music in one room, while others were quietly reading/working in another room. The owner was very nice, responsive and accommodating. We are thinking about making our trip an annual tradition, we loved it so much!

Very close to Killington and bars! Big enough kitchen to cook for a large group too. The houses undersell the rustic bottom floor living area and the amazing hot tub!

Big Success For Bachelor Party

  • 5 of 5

There were 17 of us staying at the house for a weekend for a bachelor party. The weekend was a huge success, and the house had a big part in that. There were plenty of sleeping spots, and the house was big enough that we did not feel crowded at all. We used the grill for food and there was lots of cookware for breakfast. The house was stocked with lots of firewood for the fire pit, and plenty of folding chairs for the sitting around the fire. The dining room table was perfect for poker. The game room kept us entertained for hours, and it was nice to be able to open the garage door during the day. There was enough yard space for the corn-hole and can-jam sets we brought. We had the multiple TVs turned to playoff hockey and basketball. The Wi-Fi easily handled all the devices. Parking was not an issue. There is a general store at the gas station where we could resupply with beer and food. Highly recommend for bachelor parties.

Perfect Spot For A Big Group Looking To Hit The Slopes Hard & The Apres Ski Harder

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough think great things about this property and my experience staying there this past weekend with a group of 16 friends from college. Picking a house from a website is always a bit of a anxiety inducing proposition for me, as the smallest and oldest places can often be photographed to look like palaces – but the photos from this house are spot on, and if anything, undersell what you’re getting.

The owner has put a tremendous about of time and thought into anticipating the needs of his guests, which resulted in us never having to stop, or even pause or good times. Our group came up to do a little bit of skiing (which is a short 5-10-minute drive away) and a lot of NCAA tournament watching, grilling and hanging out together – and the house was a perfect fit. The living room upstairs is even bigger than it appears in the picture, with a fantastic flat screen and sound bar, two large comfortable couches and a bar, making it the perfect room for watching the game. When we were ready for our own games, the newly finished garage fit the bill – with a pop-a-shot basketball game, foosball, heavy duty air hockey table, darts and a beer pong table. The owner even has a canister of ping-pong balls and a small Bluetooth speaker for your music ready to go. The heater in the garage kept it warm even on a freezing day and the TV there was just as good as the one upstairs. Plus all the bunk beds, which are much larger than the twin bunk beds of my youth, were sturdy and comfortable.

When we tired ourselves out, the large and clean hot tub on the deck was the perfect place to unwind and look out over the woods as the snow came down. The grill is large and has all the necessary tools to produce all your meals, and the kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses and silverware. There are even two refrigerators so you can stock up and not have to leave, and industrial strength washers and dryers to get all your ski stuff freshened up overnight. The caretaker Andy, who we only saw as we were leaving, was an incredibly nice and available anytime if you need something.

This place would be a 5-star spot for my group in any season and we can’t wait to go back.
