Totally remodeled! Our 2-bed, 1-bath apartment is located in a great spot between the ski resorts (20-30 miles) and downtown Salt Lake City (10 minutes). Everything inside—from the mattresses to the designer kitchen to the Netflix-enabled flat screens—was chosen with our guests in mind.

The Space:

After a total remodel (and the finishing touch of a pro interior designer), our 2-bed, 1-bath apartment is ready to welcome guests on business trips, couples getaways, skiers, and explorers who want to get to know Salt Lake City!

A central location—10 minutes from downtown and 20-30 miles from world-class skiing—makes it easy to transition from a downtown meeting (or sightseeing at Temple Square) in the morning, to an afternoon on the slopes, to dinner on the town.

When you get here, park in the private carport with room for 2 vehicles. Then head straight inside. Our keyless lock has an easy-to-remember code that we create specifically for you. No need to worry about keeping track of keys while you’re out having fun!

We have 2 deluxe bedrooms to sleep 4. We carefully selected great mattresses and added luxury bedding to each. In the master, you’ll find a king-sized bed and a flat-screen TV. The 2nd bedroom has a queen. Two more people can sleep on our comfy air mattress (with bedding set) on the living room floor.

We have high-speed WiFi throughout the apartment. Get work done, or binge-watch your Netflix favorites. We have two flat screens: one in the living room and one in the master bedroom.

The kitchen is sleek and modern, with gleaming stainless appliances and a dining table with 4 adjustable stools.

Our kitchen comes with the convenience of all the breakfast basics to get you off to a good start during your stay with us. Make yourself a cup of coffee, a refreshing glass of juice, and toss up a couple of eggs with your toast. Pancakes? Waffles?  You’ll find the convenience of having them all within reach.

We also offer accommodations on the other half of the duplex, with room for up to 8 more guests in 4 bedrooms. Feel free to ask us about our other rental options.

Guest Access:

With off-street, covered parking, it’s easy to come and go. And with keyless door locks, you don’t have to worry about keeping track of keys. We create an easy-to-remember code specifically for your group.

Interaction with Guests:

When we’re not traveling, we live in the basement apartment. If we’re home, we’re happy to chat and share our tips for things to do in the area. But we also respect that you’re here to explore, not talk to us.

When we’re not home, a trusted neighbor keeps an eye on the property and will be on-hand if you have questions or concerns.

The Neighborhood:

This rental is located at the corner of a residential street and 700 East, which provides quick, easy access to I-80 and I-15, and downtown.

Worried about traffic noise from our neighbor, 700? We live here and don’t find it to be an issue…and our guests say they’d come back, so that’s a good sign! Just in case, though, we soundproofed the windows and provide earplugs for guests.

Getting Around:

If you’re coming here for both skiing AND downtown Salt Lake City, this rental is in an ideal location: 10-15 minutes (depending on traffic) from downtown and no more than 30 miles from all the ski resorts. If you have no interest in skiing, that’s fine, too—there is plenty to do within minutes of this rental. Most places are less than a half-hour away by car.

House Rules:


Quiet hours begin at 10pm. Indoor and outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum. This property is equipped with a decibel meter and the police will be notified should there be any noise disturbances. Tenants shall use the property for legal purposes only and NO other use, such as, but not limited to, illegal drug use, abuse of any person, harboring of fugitives, etc. ; shall cause termination of this agreement with no refund of rents or deposits. The police will be notified should the Landlord suspect any illegal activities.

Check-out Instructions:

Please take out all trash.

Please pile used towels, washcloths and kitchen towels in the bathtub.

Please be sure to wash all your dishes.

Please return any moved objects or furniture back to their original spots.

Please lock the doors and close the windows.

Additional Fees

Fee for bringing pets: $200

I, Carmen, suffer from really bad allergies and many times I had to use my EPIPEN when my asthma rescue inhaler doesn’t open my lungs. If you know somebody with really bad allergies you know what I’m talking about. So for respect to allergic people, we ask you to not bring your pets into our property.

We advertise as a pet-free, allergy-friendly vacation rental and it takes a certified asthma and allergy cleaning company to get rid of pet hair and dander.

There are many hosts that welcome pets. If you plan on traveling with your pet, please look for another property. I don’t want to cancel your reservation and charge you a $200 fee to hire a professional allergy cleaning company.

Fee for smoking inside the house: $250 (fee goes towards cleaning carpets, drapes, bedding and other fabrics where smoke was trapped). Includes use of vaping or e-cigarettes

Fee for unauthorized guests: $10/per night per person

We will charge the credit card on file an additional $10/per night per person for every unauthorized guest. You should have seen this fee if you entered the right amount of guests before booking our place.

Fee for not following check-out instructions: $25 per extra hour of labor.

The cleaning fee charged for this property covers 4 hours of cleaning. It also includes the cost of professional laundry service and cleaning supplies. So please be respectful of our home and don’t take this personal. We care about you our guest, as much as we care about our housekeepers, without them we wouldn’t be able to host you. Thanks so much for your understanding.

Should the Tenants violate any of the terms of this agreement, the rental period shall be terminated immediately. The Tenants shall maintain the premises in a good, clean and ready-to-rent condition and use the premises only in a careful and lawful manner. Tenants shall pay for maintenance and repairs should the premises be left in a lesser condition. The Tenants agree that the Landlord shall deduct costs of said services from the security deposit prior to refund if Tenants cause damage to the premises or its furnishings.

We’re Jonah and Carmen, and we love to travel!

Not very long ago, we followed our impulses and bought one way tickets to Bali. The next few years were unforgettable! We travelled across South East Asia, Mexico, Central America and Peru. A lot of our stays were at vacation rentals and boutique hotels, giving us the advantage of knowing what goes into a comfortable stay (especially as we were really picky guests!)

We took advantage of our experience as guests across the globe and started our first vacation rental in Peru in 2010 (so yes, we’ve put a few years in!).

But more recently, we’ve been focusing on short term rentals in the Salt Lake City area. The success of managing our own rental properties has brought in requests from other owners to manage theirs as well.

The comfort of our guests is paramount to Jonah and me. To make everything from booking the rental to your actual stay here, we have made the process hassle free - from an easy check in/check out, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchens, efficient Wi-Fi, to Netflix for your entertainment.

And, oh yes, so you have an affordable stay!

All the extra touches like the blackout curtains, snack box, refrigerator stocked for breakfast, cleaning supplies, and all your attention to detail made this place our favorite place we stayed during our 3 week vacation. Cute with all the comforts of home

The house was extremely well appointed with everything you want when traveling. The hostess even supplied us with staple items for yummy breakfasts! We wanted for nothing and the owners were responsive and easy to communicate with.

Central location in Salt Lake City to all of the ski areas. We will definitely return to this charming house on our next ski trip to Utah!

Everything was excellent. We especially appreciated having breakfast items available-eggs and toast, good coffee. Super comfortable beds—I would definitely stay here again for another sister’s weekend!

This property stinks! No, literally !

Upon arriving at this property on the busiest street. An old beat up car was sitting in the driveway so we went farther down the street because we thought there is no way this could be it. I called the owner because I wasn’t sure if it was. She said yes but since we were a bit early she gave us a temporary code to go inside. Upon entering it smelled like sewer so bad there was no possibility to stay in there. We ended up not only paying for this but a hotel as well. We stay and a lot of VRBO‘s and this was the worst one ever. Cute inside but pictures are deceiving as it is on the busiest road in a shady part of town

Owner's Response: Hi Cindy, We have hosted over 1,000 guests at our properties over the last 7 years, and we have never received less than great reviews. We did our best to accommodate you and remain professional until you began to slander us and make up blatant lies about our place. I will try to address all the concerns you listed. The “old beat up car” you reference here was the housekeeper’s car. Since you arrived at 1pm and our check-in time is 4pm, the housekeepers had run to the store to purchase breakfast supplies for your stay, but there was still room to park 2 more parks. On our listing for this property is the following: “Worried about traffic noise from our neighbor, 700E? We live here and don’t find it to be an issue…and our guests say they’d come back, so that’s a good sign! Just in case, though, we soundproofed the windows and provide earplugs for guests.” We never mentioned that we’re “within walking distance” to shops or restaurants. However we’re 5 minutes drive to Sugar House and 10 minutes to Downtown. Before your arrival, my husband and I stopped by the apartment. We came to drop some chocolates for you and your family., We also had 2 housekeepers working there. None of us noticed any sort of sewer smell. The guests who checked-out that day, loved the apartment and had no complaints at all. As far as this being a shady part of town, our property is located in an older part of Salt Lake City, but it is still considered to be in a safe neighborhood. And if you read our reviews, you'll find out that most of our guests appreciate the location and talk about the cleanness of our place. When you called me, you had already made the decision that you were not going to stay at our place, “before you even got to see the inside”. You only called to get a refund and started screaming and threatened me with leaving,” the worst review we ever got” if I wouldn’t refund your money. Well, when you booked our place you agreed to our 30-day cancelation policy. My recommendation for you will be to read the entire listing, before booking your next vacation rental. Vacation rental owners are small businesses, we’re not like big hotel chains that have hundreds of rooms available and blocking and unblocking rooms is not a big deal. Once we get a reservation we block our calendars and we commit to you, the guest and at the end of each stay we always ask our guests for feedback/recommendations. That's the only way we can improve the way we do things.

Adorable Home Close to Downton & Sugar House District

This vacation rental was clean, beautifully decorated and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The location was great! Just 5 minutes from the "hip" Sugar House District where we found great restaurants and shopping. If back in Salt Lake, I would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous place and good location to ski areas

The apartment is lovely and well appointed. We cooked all meals in and found everything we needed. Location was super easy to get to the ski hills. While this apartment is on a very busy street, we were not bothered by it at all. We didn't even have issues turning left onto the busy road. Only improvement I could wish for was better snow conditions.
