About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 8

Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, and providing you with essential mountain amenities like a fireplace, furnished deck with peeks at the lake, and a space in the garage for your vehicle, this Tahoe City vacation home is a perfect place for your getaway any time of year.

The Snow Flower is near many Sierra hiking trails and ski resorts so that all guests can experience Tahoe the way it's meant to be. Choose from spots no more than nine miles away like Granlibakken Resort, Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area, and Alpine Meadows/Squaw Valley. Waterfront eateries and coffee shops are only about a mile away in town.

Surrounded by pines on the outside, this house reflects the terrain inside with rustic woodwork and huge picture windows. Look out toward the lake from your perch on the front deck with a patio table set.

Head inside to the open great room with overstuffed couches before a TV with DVD and cable and a remote-controlled gas fireplace stove. Play foosball or snack on popcorn while a movie plays. On the other side of this level is access to the back deck for more outdoor options. A full bathroom is on this floor as well.

Cleanup after meals will be easy with the dishwasher in the fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy eating together at the breakfast bar, patio, or window-side dining table.

Go downstairs to find the carpeted bedrooms, including the master bedroom with a queen-size bed and door to the lower patio. Share the twin trundle bed with your best friend in the guest room or the twin-over-full bunk and single twin in the third room, which also has a second TV. (A sofa sleeper is also available to bring the maximum occupancy up to eight.) This floor also has a full bathroom and a laundry room.

Beyond the waterfront Tahoe City restaurants, you'll find tons to do along the beach. Visit Commons Beach in summer for live music, Kings Beach for family fun, or even the casinos in Crystal Bay, just over the state line. About 16 miles north is Truckee off I-80, a gateway to west Tahoe destinations.

The cozy Snow Flower is a Tahoe City vacation rental for families to bond in, friends to reminisce in, and for everyone to make memories in during their precious time off.

About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Underwhelmed by Snowflower.

 • 2 of 5

Arrived Friday, and no cable access for television. Called suggested help line and they said they'd contact cable company. Finally got the tv to work on Sunday. As a summer rental, we came prepared to barbecue, only to find an empty gas tank. Basic supplies in the house were limited; toilet paper, dish soap, etc. We rent several times a year in Tahoe, and this rental was disappointing.

Gets the job done

 • 3 of 5

Booked when other house fell through; this house is fine but in need of some repairs and maintenance (decks are falling apart, roof on garage is in bad shape, kitchen is dated and could use a deep cleaning, some beds are loose and rickety, back porch door glass permanently fogged over). Good for groups who are not looking for a super swanky place, nice common areas on the upper level. Bathrooms are great (newly remodeled) but don't expect hot water for too long in showers. VRBO/Homeaway fees are high. Previous renters' trash left in garage when we arrived. Gets the job done for groups, but nothing special and is showing signs having been rented a lot.

Nice house in the trees

 • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay on Snowflower Lane. The house is conveniently located to Tahoe City, and surrounded by big, beautiful trees in a quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the large deck and filtered view of Lake Tahoe. The upstairs great room/ kitchen is a really nice space. The bedrooms are all downstairs--one drawback is you do hear the people walking around upstairs if you go to bed early. But overall, a very pleasant house.

Cute cabin in the woods

 • 3 of 5

Had problems with the management company. When we arrived trash had not been pickup up and no internet or TV and no hangers in the closets. They tried to fix it but tv only worked on night. Called 4 times for hangers but never got them. Spent too much time on the phone with them daily. They we aware of the Internet - tv problem before we arrived but never told us. All and all we enjoyed the cabin, very cute and great location. Nothing fancy but liked the upstairs great room. Definitely recommend if problems can be fixed.

The home was solid, and well built. Amenities where marginal at best. Kitchen very basic, but had essentials. Location was great, and clean. Overall a great house in a great location.
