About Nola Concierge On Call

My name is Melissa St.Clair and I manage this property. I have worked in the hotel and tourism industries for the last 27 years. I love New Orleans and all that it has to offer, more important I enjoy helping visitors enjoy all that the city has to offer!

Nola Concierge On Call purchased this house in 2015

Why Nola Concierge On Call chose Carrollton

LOCATION,LOCATION, LOCATION!!!! This is a real New Orleans experience. Not the French Quarter. Nothing against the quarter but this is real N.O. You are staying in a historic New Orleans home. The house is located in the town of Carrolton. It was one of the towns up river from N.O. before we grew so large that all the little towns merged into one City. Our house is located right off of Oak street. Oak Street with its historical building was the main shopping district for the town of Carrollton many years ago, since Katrina there has been a wonderful resurgence with a variety of local business, bars and restaurants that you will enjoy. Along with art galleries, gift shops, coffee houses, a hair salon, nail salon and even a shoe store! You may never want to leave this charming neighborhood.

ALL THIS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE FROM YOUR DOOR!

What makes this house unique

I love this city and pride myselves in being able to provide our guests with anything their needs require. Restaurant advice and reservations, where the best music will be, what festivals are happening AND WHERE THE LOCALS EAT,DRINK AND PLAY. We can arrange for crawfish boils, group events, tours or anything your little heart desires. Just ask and we will do our best to fulfill your wishes.

Wonderful house

  • 5 of 5

The property is great. The house had everything that we needed for our stay. Off street parking was a plus along with the fenced in yard for our fur babies. The location is close enough to everything but far enough away to have a quiet and safe getaway when we wanted to chill. The house is very well maintained and had all the amenities that we needed for our trip.

Great property

  • 5 of 5

The home was beautiful def a New Orleans feel. There are so many great restaurants in the area and the trolley is only a couple of blocks away. It was nice staying in this area away from the loudness of bourbon street, but having access to transportation to get to French quarter. When we arrived we were greeted and the host gave us a tour of the property. The host is very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again and recommend this properly to others!

Living like a local

  • 5 of 5

The stay in these cute shot gun home was pretty neat we didn't need to bring anything. The propert had it all. We had meals in the backyard along with some NOLA jazz playing in the background. Don't need to go anywhere else, had a great time just in the neighborhood. Can't wait to come back! Love me some NOLA! Loved the people.. Loved the ambiance!

Exellent Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Cozy, wonderfully appointed, incredibly decorated, centrally located, and these were the bad things. This was my first time in New Orleans and I don't think I could have stayed in a better place.

The home is extremely comfortable. With 2 family rooms you are never in anybody's way. You can use one for chatting and the kids can be watching a movie in the other. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need to make a meal. A cute little backyard was a wonderful afternoon retreat. But I spent hour upon hour on the front porch swing watching the world go by.

The home is 1/4 block off Oak Street, a quaint several blocks of shops, restraunt's, and the Maple Leaf Bar, a wonderful place for jazz. Its a 2 minute walk, 2 blocks, to the St. Charles Street Car Line. The St. Charles Street Car Line is a 20 minute ride to the French Quarter, and actually drops you off on Bourbon Street. We were able to drive in the French Quarter in about the same time but did not have the hassle of parking. City Park and Audubon Park are 5 minutes away and are wonderful.

I fell in love with NOLA and this comfortable home was one of the main reason.

The real flavor of New Orleans w/out city price

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this charming bungalow(an authentic shotgun house) with my daughter outside the crazy inner city part. We were about 3 blocks from the Trolley (historic "Street cars" w/all wood brass fittings)that runs you thru the Garden District, past Tulane U, famous Cemeteries to downtown/French Quarters, Bourbon St etc for $1.50. (too bad cannot bold $1.50) Ubering was only $8. We had rented a car but never used it!

So much to see up close on streetcar trip and hopping off &on.

House was immaculate with traditional bold NOLA décor & all the things you get from a hotel, plus more (big one was space*).

If you need a quiet evening or to crawl home there are 4-5+ bars w/live bands or restaurants right around the corner.

What we saved on hotel/fees, parking, gas we spent on Artwork, Tours and eating everything we could!

...We got a true taste and feel of N'awlins here! ... will be going again.

I'm a New Orleans native who came home to share the city with girlfriends. The house has all the charm of New Orleans. You couldn't ask for a better location. Property owner was easy going and responded promptly. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
