About the property

Hot Tub, Privacy, Mountain Views, River Park

The Almost Heaven Cabin is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains with spectacular views. Cozy and warm are two words that describe the cottage well. Although you're secluded in the mountains you can still enjoy the full features of a home at your finger tips. Explore the river or the nearby Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive, all at your own pace. At the foot of the mountain there is a picnic ground complete with fire pits and tables that is for the private use of people residing at Shenandoah Gap community.

The 500 square foot deck overlooks the mountains and is a relaxing place to grill out, lounge on the deck furniture or have a soak in the hot tub!

Bring some wood and build a fire in the fire pit on the deck, its a great way to enjoy some time outdoors.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

A FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CAR CAN REACH THE CABIN IN THE WARMER MONTHS HOWEVER A 4X4 IS ADVISED DURING WINTER, ROADS ARE STEEP AND CAN BECOME SLICK DURING SNOW OR ICE.

BRING WOOD FOR MAKING A FIRE IF YOU WISH TO DO SO. WOOD MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE BUT IS NOT ALWAYS STOCKED. WOOD IS PRICED AT $5 PER BUNDLE AND MUST BE PAID FOR IN CASH.

Perfect!

The house was perfect! My 9yr old son and I stayed for a week while he was at Civil War camp. The house was just the right size and fully equipped. We really enjoyed using the hot tub and fire pit in the evenings. He has asked that we stay their again next summer 😊

Great

  • 5 of 5

It was a very clean comfortable and cozy cabin. The hot tub, gas grill and gas fireplace was in great shape and were added bonus. Definitely use a suv or bigger truck. Little cars might have a little trouble in heavy rain. Perfect gps location. No wifi code I could find it no trouble. Fall and winter would be great as was summer.

Ok spot. Loved the quiet but don't think I would stay again

More attention needs to be paid to cleanliness and upkeep. The sheets felt thin. The plastic shower curtain should be replaced. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The decor was cute but get rid of the fake plants. They are dust collectors. Finally the road was a nightmare and needed to have dirt (not rocks) to fill in the potholes.

Great for a weekend getaway!

  • 4 of 5

Myself and my boyfriend really enjoyed this cabin! We were looking for a secluded place to relax at night after hiking trails in Shenandoah National Forest during the day. I am definitely glad we had a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up the mountain, the road was more rigorous than expected. The cabin is smaller than what the pictures showed, but perfect size for 2 people. The hot tub was great! I would definitely recommend this cabin!

Lovely and Quiet

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay! Rustic feel but not actually rustic. The hot tub was great, the bunk beds were comfy, the fireplace heats the entire place. We got up the mountain in 2 wheel drive SUV but a car would have been tough. Would have liked to have just a few more basics available. We were looking for a lighter for the grill, dustpan, paper towels and then dvds and games when we had a rainy day. Not a big deal. Want to come back!
