Whether in for business or fun, this is the perfect place for you to spend your trip to Austin. This lovely, spacious home is in a quiet, historic neighborhood just blocks from everything downtown- ACL, SXSW, 6th St, the TX Capitol building & more.
The Clarksville neighborhood is an highly desirable area to be in whether you are a visitor or permanent resident of Austin. Once you arrive here, you'll know why. It's on the edge of downtown so you can easily bike everywhere you want to go (SXSW, ACL, 6th St, etc.), but it's in a calm, inviting, beautiful, historic neighborhood with many neighborhood spots that are Austin icons.
What sets this home apart of most in the area is space. There is both a main house and a garage apartment. The main house sleeps 8 with 3 bedrooms and 2 living areas, a full kitchen and bathroom. There are 2 queen beds, a pull out double bed, and 2 twins. The living areas feature 49" TVs with cable and a DVD player. The kitchen has everything you might need (and more) if you plan to do a little cooking while you are here.
The garage apartment sleeps 3. It's a studio space with a sitting area, queen bed, pull out twin sofa, full bath, mini-fridge and coffeemaker. The garage also has a 49" TV with cable and a DVD player. We are renting the spaces together, but contact me if you are interested in them separately.
Unlike many old homes, this house has a spacious open floorplan with lots of natural light. It has retained its original hardwood floors, and even some of the original shiplap, which you can find in the closets. This house has all modern amenities that you need with the right amount of old school charm.
The backyard is beautiful and with seating for 8, it's a great spot for hanging out.
We do not allow parties or large gatherings at the house. Because the home is in a quiet, historic neighborhood with neighbors very close by we ask that you be very respectful. If we receive any complaints from neighbors, you forfeit your security deposit and will be asked to leave.
For SXSW, we book 2 different blocks. The first segment is for Interactive. The second is for music (March 14-19).
