Beachy Getaway, Indianola

Bedrooms 2
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

3 Bedrooms 1 Bathroom Sleeps 8

A 5-minute walk to the beach, this beautiful home has everything you need for a sun-soaked, relaxation-filled getaway. Lounge in the sunny nook, sunbathe on the expansive deck, take a walk along the Sound. Great for families and small group events.

This getaway home includes two bedrooms on the main floor, with a full size bed in each. There is a sleeping loft accessible by ship's ladder, which sleeps up to five people, with two full mattress and one twin mattress in separate nooks.

Want to try catching some crab? Crab pots are included. Bring or rent your own rowboat. Use at your own risk. You will need to get a fishing license, and you'll want to know how to handle the crab once you've caught it - they're alive and they pinch! It's not for the faint of heart.

The house is a 5-minute walk from the head of the dock, the Indianola Country Store, and all things downtown Indianola. It's a lovely walk - highly recommended.

Indianola is its own kind of place. Cozy, surrounded by evergreens and water views. The people are warm, and welcome a wave and hello. A small goods/produce market opens up on Saturday mornings. There are public tennis courts, a boat launch, and a public library. You just might end up moving here...

About Owner/Manager

We are Vera & Jeff. We both grew up in western Washington, live in Seattle, and love to watch live music, play soccer, hike, read, and spend time with our friends and family. Vera is an urban planner and landscape architect. Jeff is the program director for a non-profit organization that helps low-income youth access higher education.

We love Indianola. Jeff spent his childhood here, jumping off the dock, crabbing with friends and family, and swimming in the biolumenescent algae on summer nights. It's truly a special place with all the warmth and quirk of a small beach town.

Lovely home, perfect stop for our two families of 4

  • 5 of 5

Traveling through the Pacific Northwest, this was a comfortable place for us to stop for two nights. Our kids (ages 9-11) loved the sleeping loft and playing in the yard, as well as jumping off the dock at the end of the pier (an easy 5 minute walk). The locals are lovely. Great stay!

Close to the Beach and Well Appointed

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here beginning of August and it was perfect. Walked a couple blocks to the beach everyday. Our kids had a blast playing on the beach. This house was well appointed. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. The kids all slept up in the loft and loved having their own space. Loved playing corn hole and grilling in the backyard. A fun time all around and a very nice location.

Peaceful Retreat

  • 4 of 5

We had a very quiet relaxing time in Indianola. Our goal was to find a nice place between Seattle and the Olympic National Park. This did the trick. Though when we got there the linens were not on the beds and the laundry was in the hall way it was a quick fix and Vera was apologetic and refunded us our full cleaning fee. Vera was very quick to respond to all emails and was very helpful. The home is very roomy and we had six people, two adults and 4 teens. The teens loved the loft with its privacy. One of the morning while having coffee and the veranda a local pup came into the yard and the kids played fetch with her for hours. You could tell she was a local making the rounds looking for someone to play with. Being as we are all dog lovers and missed our own dogs it was a great addition to our adventure on the peninsula. Thank you for sharing your home.
