small and cozy..perfect for two people. You share beach access and fire pit sitting area with the house next to you.You also share the beach chairs,umbrellas and lounge chairs...It was no big deal to us..we can down to be alone..The beach is literally 100 feet away and the water is another 100 feet. Its located between two public beach access areas, so the beach outback of the house was ours. With a few upgrades to inside and chair sitting area..outdated and uncomfortable..dishes and glasses..there was very few a each... better attention to making sure the basic needs are available upon arrival would have been nice..paper towels..toilet paper an iron..garbage bags we had to go buy since there wasn't any. With a few minor upgrades and a little thought and effort this little house could be five stars..

Perfect location but needs updating

Location is fantastic! Listing includes dishwasher, iron and ironing board which were not there upon arrival. Living room furniture is outdated and uncomfortable. Only 2 coffee cups which would be an issue if there were 4 guests. I would not recommend for 4 people because of size but perfect for 2 people. The deck furniture and all outside furniture was dirty and unappealing. Deck needs painting and cleaning badly. Our door code didn't work upon arrival and it took about and hour for someone to bring us a key. Maintenance person said he would pick key up the night before our departure but didn't so we had to leave the key on table with unit unlocked. We would stay again because of the location but a few minor upgrades like paining and new furniture would really make the stay more enjoyable.

Mis-leading ad, but overall, we liked it! Beautiful pet-friendly property!!

The ad shows pictures for the bigger house and the common grounds, not the actual property that is behind to the left which it's actually what you are renting. I knew it was the small property by the inside pictures, but I can understand it can be somewhat confusing. Also the listing says the unit has 1 1/2 baths, which is not true, it has only one bath. The property could benefit from some TLC, new furniture, the pullout sofa is horrible, nobody can sleep there! The bed is tiny, double, not even a queen size! the kitchen utensils are mismatching and scarce, but we made it work. On the other hand the unit has gorgeous grounds, beautiful deck, but patio furniture was broken, only two good chairs. The place has a lot of shadow which we loved. One thing we noticed, the family that was renting the bigger house/unit didn't know that we would have to share the parking space and common grounds, so I guess their ad was misleading as well.

Overall the place is fine, we had a good time there but I would definitively recommend the owner to listen to the reviews, because I noticed that most of the things mentioned above, were already pointed out by previous renters.

Even though all the remarks I would come back, specially because the property is pet-friendly and it sits right on the beach, what else could we ask??!!

Property is dated - yard is overgrown and Needs to be cut back- bed needs replacing- simple things

Simple things that don't cost much would improve the properties attractiveness. Simple things like dishes that match - not ones that looks like you stole a plate and glass from a different restaurant every night. Try Walmart

A fresh coat of paint to brighten up the place.

Cut back the yard so natural light gets in. Get rid of the rusty shelf in the bathroom - again Walmart or Lowes has great prices for replacement. A new bed and sofa are a must - they are old and dirty. Paint out the fireplace and stone to white as well as the dining table(which is fine but dark). A small space need to be bright and inviting. It looks like no updates have been made since purchase. Disappointing. The kitchen counter is taped together. Lowes can supply a reasonable prices one . A new coffee pot and toasted is also a must . New vents as well . A new wardrobe in the bedroom (IKeA has great ones). I have compared similar places in similar area and this property shows an overall lack of pride of ownership.

I do feel this property can be quite attractive and inviting but and upgrade is a must .

Again it's the little things . With not a lot of money you can improve the property immensely.

Mis-leading ad; close to beach & attractions/restaurants

The ad is mis-leading. It states that the cottage has 1 bathroom & 1 half bath, but upon arrival I was disappointed to find it actually only has one full bath & NO half bath. Plus the house you see in the primary photo is not the cottage you are renting; It's actually the one to the left and behind in the photo.

I would not have rented this cottage if I'd known I was only getting one bathroom for multiple people; the # of bathrooms was one of my primary search criteria & deciding factors. Technically the cottage will sleep 4 but it would be extremely tight quarters.

I was also not informed, at the time of booking, that it was turtle egg laying season during my stay so we were unable to enjoy the fire pit at night. Not a huge deal considering the heat, but still would have been nice to know when I booked...glad I didn't spend the $$ ahead of time to buy wood and marshmallows. I would also say the exterior could really use some TLC from the owner or property manager.
