With 2 bedrooms and 2 screened-in balconies on 2 levels, Santa Maria 405 is a large, lofty condo overlooking a canal that empties out to Estero Bay. The lower-level balcony is furnished with a dining table and chairs to take advantage of the sparkling view, and it even has a ceiling fan to keep you cool during the heat of the day.

Start your day with a swim in the heated pool. Later, stroll to the beach and the Gulf of Mexico for a spot of beachcombing or paddleboarding. For lunch, grill up some burgers and hot dogs, then relish them at a canalside table, where you can watch manatees frolic among the passing boats. Enjoy a round of golf at the course down the street, or head out to the bay on a fishing charter. After dinner at one of the many restaurants within walking distance, unwind with a soak in the hot tub or a drink on one of your 2 balconies. These are the delights that await when you stay at Santa Maria 405.

The double-height living room has its own ceiling fan, as well as roomy sofas you’ll love sinking into, whether it’s to watch a movie with the family or to catch up on emails by yourself, courtesy of the NEW high-speed internet! The sofa even opens into a queen-size bed, so that Santa Maria 405 can sleep up to 6 people in all.

The roomy dining table accommodates 6 people as well, making it perfect for family dinners… and for family game nights too! And the kitchen makes it easy to cook a feast for a crowd or mix up a batch of margaritas for 2. Appliances, cookware, prep tools, tableware: You name it, the fully equipped kitchen has it.

The main level of Santa Maria 405 is also home to a bedroom with a queen bed. Kids and adults alike will appreciate this airy room, which includes its own TV and a view onto the canal. The adjacent bathroom has twin sinks as well as a shower and plenty of storage for toiletries.

The master bedroom suite is on the upper level, making it a wonderfully private retreat. The upper balcony has 2 chairs where you can sip a romantic nightcap as you admire the moonlight reflected in the sparkling canal waters before heading inside to the sumptuous king-size bed. Watch some late-night TV before letting the whispering breeze of the ceiling fan ease you to sleep… then in the morning you can prep for the day in the en-suite master bath.

You can pack light for your stay: Not only do we provide all the fresh bedding and towels you could possibly need, but Santa Maria 405 also has its own private washer and dryer.

The Santa Maria complex is easily laid-back and lovely as unit 404. The heated swimming pool is said to be one of the largest on Fort Myers Beach. The expansive poolside patio is decked out with plenty of lounge chairs and even a hot tub--perfect for when you return from a day of hiking in one of the nearby parks or kayaking in the gulf.

There are also several outdoor decks with gas grills so that you enjoy a barbecue or a picnic in full view of the canal. Another advantage of Santa Maria’s waterfront location: It’s next to a marina where you can rent a boat or book a fishing charter.

And from Santa Maria, you can walk to the beach and the Gulf of Mexico in less than 5 minutes! You can swim, race jet skis, surf fish, collect shells, or simply watch dolphins, manatees, and pelicans in the serene waters.

Condo was easy to get to, plenty of parking. Entry codes for lobby, unit and pool were all as relayed to us. Good location, easy walking distance to food and drinks. We ate in most of the time, kitchen was well appointed with pots, pans and utensils. Fridge and oven are older, but worked very well.

4th floor location overlooking canal and boat dockage. Nice screened enclosure on main level along with an open patio on upper level allowed for privacy when desired.

Condo project was very clean and well maintained. Pool is large, with very large lounging area with upwards of 90 chairs and tables...

Condo unit itself was nice, but not outstanding, and I put the blame on the very well paid management company. As mentioned in an earlier review, the Living room carpet was dirty and in need of deep cleaning or replacement. A couple of small items in the kitchen were broken and should have been replaced, table leg was broken and a couple light bulb were out....little stuff, but not right for the cost.

Basics only included: No beach towels, no spices (man, can you run up a bill on those!!), no laundry detergent, very small dish soap, and 1 roll of T.P. per bathroom. Cleaning fee of $150, yet contract expects tenant to take trash down when leaving, sweep the floors and vacuum when leaving....

Could be an outstanding unit...owner needs to get a management company that cares.

HOWEVER...the good out weighed the bad!

Nice condo

The property is beautiful. I have stayed at the Santa Maria for years and have always enjoyed the property. However, this is my first time booking it through vrbo & I won't do that again. Upon arriving I had no instructions on how to get to the room. There are 3 different property codes that are required to have - I was on the phone over 30 minutes to get the correct codes for the front entrance & the condo. Next morning I realize there is one for the pool area too 😳� We had to sign a 14 page contract and yet no instructions - slightly aggravating. The place was really quiet & peaceful. Not far from city center, restaurants & shopping. I love Ft. Myers beach 😊�

quit little community to stay

The condo was nice with two floors making it spacious for two families to stay. Convenient to areas around the island. The condo grounds was clean and well kept. Two down falls were the beach is not right across the street. Traveling with children you needed to get in a car and beach it. The condo was not equipped with beach towels or beach accessories such as chairs and stuff. Every other beach condo i have been to had this there especially since these condo's are supposed to be move in ready.

We arrived to no water in our unit and had to find where it was and tuen it on and then later on turn the hot water on because that was not on either. No where in out instructions did it tells us to turn water on. The carpet had stains everywhere including the small rugs in kitchen. Not pleasant to walk into a place that makes you feel dirty and always needing to keep shoes on.

Loved the heated pool!

My husband and I and our 11 month old stayed here for 4 nights and it was wonderful! The condo was a bit dated with stained carpet but we don't stay at places according to decor. It was clean and that's what matters! Just a short walk to the beach and a shopping strip with restuarants. My favorite part was the pool! I can't stand cold pools and this pool was the perfect temp! I will say at first I thought when booking this that it was a scam because I wasn't expecting a call from an agency in Northern Florida but everything worked out fine and we had no trouble getting into the building or Condo at 12:30am (we had a late night flight). Overall this was a great place to stay on the more "quiet" part of the island with nice view of the marina. When we wanted to go to all the beach shops on the north end we just drove and parked near the shops and restaurant but you could take the bus and avoid the hassle and expense of parking down that way.

The property was great! Nice size and very clean. The complex is well maintained. Easy parking.

The place was very comfortable and spacious with good amenities.We enjoyed the place and the easy access to the beach, marina, and markets. We took a sunset boat tour and kayak next door at the marina. Both were really fun and reasonably priced. There is a market with fresh fruits and vegetables close by that is open everyday, and once a week has more venders join them. There is a great used book shop and Italian deli in the shopping strip close by. We ate at a restaurant called Flippers at Lovers Key. Excellent!! The pool and hot tub were great too. We really enjoyed the place. We would recommend staying here and plan to again.
