Why Andrew Smejkal chose Boca Raton
We were looking for a property specifically for vacation rentals. After looking at homes from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach, we finally zeroed in on this home. It had all that we were looking for, starting with the most important thing- Location- close to the beach, highways and downtown, quiet, good neighborhood and as a bonus, this particular lot is extremely private. From the moment we walked into the home all seemed to fall into place. 3 bedrooms, a good size kitchen, a family room, laundry room that was NOT in the garage, a huge covered patio overlooking the pool, which with a salt water system. The flow of the house was just great and very inviting, so this was the perfect choice for what we were looking for.
What makes this House unique
Large driveway, private, fenced backyard, virtually non existent backyard neighbors due to the lake & vegetation, great layout, and again, location, location, location.

Very nice house
We love the house, we enjoyed everything, pool was nice, u can not go wrong in booking stay in this house, very quiet area
Thanks and we definitely go back next year
House has great backyard, quite location. It is however an old house (ant problem/weird plumbing)
Overall house was as expected. Heated pool was really nice. Backyard was quite, nice view, has fountain, great lighting, working grill. Inside house is really old, but has been somewhat renovated. Plumbing was a little funky in master bath (has jacuzzi tub, but it’s kinda old and a little gross). Overall inside house is a little dingy, but fit the bill. I really could not imagine more than 4 people in that house, it was just me most of the time for work, my wife and daughter came up for a night. The manager was pretty good. He picked up the phone every time I called and met me when he was supposed to. I can’t say I felt he was “over-ly” friendly, but he did his job. I did not have issues at the house while I was there. The real reason to rent this house is the back yard and the security. Had felt very safe. Lots of outdoor lighting and everything was fenced in and had big locks on it. House had large outdoor covered patio that was really nice. Only negatives were that towels for house are a mix of what I would describe as old grandmas towels, kinda stained and old. Bed sheets for master where new though and mattress seemed pretty new. Also kitchen had a ton of ants. I left food (hot-dog buns) in cupboard and had ants everywhere next day. I had to go to Home Depot and buy bug spray. Took 3 days to get rid of all the ants, but finally got that under control. It definitely was not an “infestation”, just normal old house stuff, and it’s located on water in back so would expect bugs. If if you rent would bring bug spray. The furniture in living room was nice and new. Also had nice tv with great cable package, internet worked well throughout. I was annoyed that I could not put my car in garage. Also the pool guy comes on Tuesday and it was not an option for him “not” to come. It’s was a little annoying not knowing when some random stranger would come in back yard, but manager did tell me Tuesday “afternoon”, so I knew approximately. Still I would have preferred not to have been bothered. Pool guy was fine when did show up, took about 20 minutes. In general everything was as expected and had no issues while at house. I used the backyard everyday, almost all day. I think this house is best for someone looking for a quite couples or work time like I needed. The house around it are pretty close (except for directly behind), so if you want to be loud probably not the best spot.
Thank you for your comments. I apologize about the issues with the ants. The home is sprayed regularly for pests, but as you said, it is Florida. We will also have the towels replaced. Thank you for bringing that up to our attention.
Great Rental for a Group of Friends or for a Family!
This home met all of my expectations and then some! I stayed at this property in July 2016 for a week as a couples get away and I can't wait to visit again. I would honestly be willing to go at any point in the year. I was hesitant about a summer trip to Florida, but this home was perfect in so many ways. The home was great for anything you may have on your to do list for vacation. Whether it be: lounging, swimming, relaxing, reading, cooking, or going out to dinner and it was situated in a quiet neighborhood.
We had 4 people in our group but would have easily been able to fit another couple in the 3rd bedroom and another on the pullout couch. I already have plans to bring my extended family for a nice get away since the house has multiple amenities and attractions to it. The Master bedroom has it's own bathroom with a separate door to the outside pool/patio area. This was an added bonus so when you needed to use the facilities you didn't need to fully dry off and go through the house. The pool was the perfect place for relaxation during the day and was not too hot even in the summer sun. Instead the screened in backyard over the pool allowed you to stay in almost all day and offered shade over the pool in the afternoon without the presence of bugs. I would say our favorite feature was the glass sliding doors that allowed the living room and outdoor patio to become one big area. It was a perfect feature in a great house. We did travel to the beach one day but with the high temps the sand and heat was unbearable & after a short time we headed back to the house to the pool area for respite.
We were looking for a place close to downtown Boca and it turned out to be only a $4 Uber ride each direction! Mizner Park had delicious restaurants and good shopping available for our group. We went out for dinner 2 nights but the beauty of this property is that you don't need to head into town at all. We took an Uber to the supermarket the first day and stocked up on food and drinks. We were able to save a great deal of money through the use of the updated kitchen and gas grill on the patio. The grill is covered by the patio so regardless of the weather we were able to cook and eat outside. The ceiling fan on the patio also gave a nice breeze while sitting outside for meals and the screen once again protected us from all bugs.
I would honestly recommend this property to anyone and everyone! Book the trip today... Trust me. You won't regret it!
