About Martin Burlus

My Husband and I live in Troutdale and have been married for 15 years. We are small business owners and thought we would give this a try too :)

Martin Burlus purchased this townhome in 2007

Why Martin Burlus chose Troutdale

We use to live in this townhome but didn't want to sell it instead we wanted to share it with others because downtown Troutdale is so cute and so close to nature we thought others should experience it too.

What makes this townhome unique

Get away to the great outdoors. Hiking ,biking, rafting, all in walking distance. Walk to restaurants and shopping in a block. Take a day trip to the beach or the mountain. First Friday art walk happens in Troutdale meet and speak to artists and have great wine and food.

Multnomah Falls, Vista House and Hood River not very far away!

Great space!

  • 5 of 5

The townhouse is spacious, cute, and accommodated our family of 6 with room to spare. We especially appreciated the washer & dryer, well-stocked towels and linens, and bigger than expected kitchen. Management was easy to reach and responsive when we had a question. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The location was perfect for our needs, and we enjoyed being so close to the Gorge and Historic Route 30.

Great!

  • 5 of 5

Very warm and inviting. Loved the fireplace, the kitchen set up & the family room all being close. Very accomodating.

Being from the East Coast, we so enjoyed downtown Troutdale, within walking distance from the townhomes.

Thank you to Laura for her kindness in mailing us clothing items that had been left behind.

Would love to return someday!

Fit us perfectly

  • 5 of 5

We needed a place for 2 male college students and 2 older women. The layout with bedrooms a floor above the hanging-out area and with enough bathrooms was perfect. We loved the gas fireplace in November.

It was great that the outlet mall for Black Friday was only a couple of minutes away, and that downtown Portland, sightseeing, and Vancouver train station were accessible.

I was glad to have a body builder among us to carry suitcases up to the third floor!

Really Enjoyed Our Stay

  • 5 of 5

We were in town for a wedding at Edgefield but because there weren't enough rooms there we were fortunate to find this townhouse which is located just a short drive away. We were 9 people altogether (myself, my wife, our two toddlers and one baby, and my mother, sister, and sister's fiance joined us as well). There was lots of room for all of us and the 2.5 bathrooms were really great (especially while the kids napped and we didn't really want to go into the (master) bedroom with ensuite) to wake them up. The air conditioning and fireplace were great (it was September so it was cool in the mornings/evenings but warm during the day) and the wifi worked well. No complaints at all except some constructive feedback would be: there were a couple of cobwebs hanging around (from light fixtures etc., but overall place was clean), toilet paper and paper towel quality was really thin/poor, and the pillows could have been more comfortable - really thin/flimsy and felt like there wasn't much inside). Although, we were so tired from exploring with the kids it didn't matter - we all slept like babies!). Lastly, a remote garage door opener would have been a nice luxury but I could understand people might lose or take them by accident. Overall really enjoyed it - Troutdale is a quaint/charming little town, the owner was very quick to respond to any questions, and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you Laura!
