About Laura Burlus

My Husband and I live in Troutdale and have been married for 13 years. We are small business owners and thought we would give this a try too :)

Laura Burlus purchased this townhome in 2007

Why Laura Burlus chose Willamette Valley

We use to live in this townhome but didn't want to sell it instead we wanted to share it with others because downtown Troutdale is so cute and so close to nature we thought others should experience it too.

What makes this townhome unique

Get away to the great outdoors. Hiking ,biking, rafting, all in walking distance. Walk to restaurants and shopping in a block. Take a day trip to the beach or the mountain. First Friday art walk happens in Troutdale meet and speak to artists and have great wine and food.

Multnomah Falls, Vista House and Hood River not very far away!

Great space!

  • 5 of 5

The townhouse is spacious, cute, and accommodated our family of 6 with room to spare. We especially appreciated the washer & dryer, well-stocked towels and linens, and bigger than expected kitchen. Management was easy to reach and responsive when we had a question. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The location was perfect for our needs, and we enjoyed being so close to the Gorge and Historic Route 30.

Great townhouse

  • 5 of 5

This was a large, clean townhouse. It was in a great location since we going to a wedding at Edgefield. It was on a quiet cul-de-sac but there were a lot of trains going by. Shutting the windows and turning on the AC solved that for sleeping, although we'd rather have the windows open. It was also convenient to Safeway, Starbucks, and Outlets.

A few small issues: there were not enough trash liners or sugar. It would have been nice to have a central book with all the rules, instead of signs all around the house. Also, there were no instructions for recycling, so we didn't and felt guilty.

We never got the key code, but the homeaway hotline was able to provide it quickly.

Owner's Response: I am not sure why you didn't get the key code as soon as VRBO sends me the reminder I fill it out and send it in. Sorry about that but glad they could help. The trash liners the cleaners should have let me know that they were out thank you for letting me know. Thank you so much for the tips on the book of rules and recycling. I am glad you enjoyed your stay.

Clean house, close to I84 and historic highway, hard beds, creepy neighbors

  • 2 of 5

Pros: clean house, close to I84 and historic highway

Cons: hard beds, trains go by and honk horns every so often, neighbors are kinda creepy, 3 of them got arrested around midnight on our second night there. 1 tight fitting parking spot. If you think you're a creative driver and you could find two, think again.

Owner's Response: So sorry about the neighbors. I know some are rentals and I can't control that. Trains do go by but I use to live in this town home and they were not that loud to me but everyone is different. Sorry about the beds we bought the ones we thought would hold up the best they are brand new so maybe they will get softer over time. I state that their is only one parking spot and the rest is off street parking.

Spacious, beautiful and fit our needs!

  • 5 of 5

The townhouse was unexpectedly spacious with all the bedrooms on the top level, Kitchen/Dining Room/Living Room and Office on the middle floor, and entry/stairs on the first floor. They provided plenty of sheets and towels.

The house was at the end of a cul-de-sac and very quiet, a nice view of the city, and a block away from downtown. It definitely fit our needs!
