Great place in Boiling Springs!
This is our second time staying here so obviously we like it! Great location ... so nice to be right on the creek and we love hearing the trains ... a little bit of Americana! Place was clean and beds were comfortable! Will hope to return!
Had a nice stay at this property.
House is clean and well-equipped. Great location for a fishing retreat. Train was not really an issue, even though 5-8 past daily and nightly. The resort across the stream had a wedding reception and loud, LOUD music but not excessively late into the evening. The area is picturesque with plenty to do and see. Owner is nearby and responsive to any needs.
Beautiful location; clean, well equipped & furnished home
We stayed at Creek Side 4 nights while in Carlisle for a wedding. Sitting out on the porch with a cup of coffee and watching the creek bubble by was a great way to relax in the midst of the hubbub of wedding activity. The home is very clean. The kitchen has plenty of cooking utensils and appliances. Lee is very responsive to questions.
so beautiful so peaceful so full of fun surroundings
It was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. The creek/river gave the whole place a serene feeling. And we had fun within minutes every day.
Mostly good but the trains...
The house reminded me so much of my grandmother’s house that I had to like it! Sloping floors - crooked in spots - strange nooks.
The setting was lovely - the back porch and yard overlooking the river was very pretty. Unfortunately the river was at flood stage due to the historic rainfall the area had received prior to our arrival so there was no fishing.
Once we got oriented, getting around was easy. We did learn that you can’t buy beer or wine at a grocery store, however.
I did not find the beds comfortable at all. Mine was very unforgiving and hard. And yes, the trains. So many trains at all hours of the night, sometimes back to back. I do think it is important to point out that the track is very close to the house and very heavily used. During the day, if we were on the porch, we had to pause our conversations because we couldn’t hear each other. At night, some of them rumbled the house.
The owner is very nice and incredibly helpful, however, and he obviously cares well for the property. While it was not peaceful and idyllic all of the time, it was a lovely spot close to everything we needed.
Perfect for our family
Anything relaxing week despite the central PA heatwave. This property is a perfect fit for our annual trip to visit family. Thank you again Lee
