We sailed throughout the Carribean over the years, but only discovered St Croix in recent years. We wondered how we missed this beautiful island, but immediately fell in love with its natural wonders, rich culture and wonderful people. So purchasing Cotton House was an easy decision. We began extensive rennovations immediately and agrred to allow Cotton House By the Sea to be featured on the Landmark House Tour in 2005. Every year we add addiitonal featured In 2014 we have replaced all appliances, added fans and lovely latterns to our gallery and pool side. We love the property and see that it gets loving care each year. .

My wife and daughter found Cotton House on-line...A very sceptical hubby is happy she did. A lovely home, well cared for, well located, well appointed. Everything worked, the pool was wonderful, neighbors and strangers were helpful. We could not have had a better time - great trip!
Few homes can boast the tranquil luxury and gorgeous views that Cotton House villa provides to it's visitors. The home itself is completely private, though not isolated. Everything one could possibly need is at your fingertips. The owners have left nothing undone, from the large extremely well stocked kitchen to the beautiful furnishings, to the outside covered patio which provides a wealth of seating and jaw dropping views. A few steps leads you to the huge pool area, complete with grill and a covered dining area, all surrounded by beautiful plants. A few more steps lead you to the beach. Cotton House is an absolutely spectacular home. This was our second stay at this beautiful property and we highly recommend it.
The house is much more special than we expected. Each room is wonderfully decorated. We particularly liked the outdoor shower in the second bedroom. The large well equipped kitchen was a joy! The covered porch with its overview of the sea and Buck Island was where we had the most fun--eating, enjoying our friends, just reading on one of the chaises as the warm wind blew over us.
The property was pristine and spotless. The owners provided material on the local sights and restaurants that were very useful. We enjoyed the restaurant and beach at the Buccaneer Hotel which was close by. Those of us who are outdoorsy loved the hike at Udall Point. All in all we had a great week!
Three couples stayed in Cotton House and had a wonderful time. It felt like we were staying in a private resident not a rental. The place is immaculately kept inside and out. We enjoyed the pool daily along with the fine views of Buck Island from the veranda. Located on the eastern end away from the hustle and bustle of down town Christiansted, it is still accessible to the attractions of St. Croix. We highly recommend staying there.
I love this property! Beautifully furnished, comfortable, great location. My favorite bedroom is one that opens out to the veranda overlooking the ocean with Buck Island in the distance; it has its own outdoor shower and a canopy bed. The veranda itself runs the full length of the house and is covered, so free from direct sunlight but open to ocean breezes, a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee. Below it is the pool with comfortable, cushioned lounge chairs, and further out the beach front. You could just stay here all day; it's nice and private. But there is the town to visit for shopping and lots of restaurants to explore. My husband and I had a absolute fantastic time. Must come again.
Imagine waking up in an exquisite bedroom overlooking the azure Caribbean Sea! The house is as described, and more. It sits on the water with fantastic views. It is that rare combination of posh and comfortable; clean, well-equipped and maintained. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the large verandah where we had evening cocktails on sometimes dinner. The East End is near many restaurants, both upscale and local. There are beaches and nature trails. It is an easy ride into Christiansted for a bit of shopping. We most highly recommend this property.
We stayed at Cotton House for our latest visit to St. Croix. One of the best vacations we have had. The house is well appointed and has a magnificent setting overlooking the gorgeous Caribbean Sea and Buck Island. The pool and surrounding gardens are beautiful. We like the East End location as it is convenient to Christensted, some excellent and some fun local restaurants, as well as pristine trails and beaches. We'll be back!!
Other Activities: Parasailing, Boating, Shopping, Kayaking, great beaches.
