Our home is a wonderful combination of cozy and spacious, and has one of the best back yards in Pacific Grove. The location is ideal--a short walk to everything, but located on a quiet street with plenty of privacy, and small ocean view from the front rooms. The ocean is just a few blocks away, and you can enjoy it at the many local beaches, strolling along the bike path, or waterfront dining along Cannery Row. While you may want to have a car for exploring Big Sur and other stunning places, you could easily enjoy an extended stay at our PG house without getting in the car at all. Besides the convenience of walking, the bike path is just two blocks away, and offers a beautiful journey through PG, Monterey, and Beyond.

One of the bedrooms has a queen bed with a new, luxurious mattress, ample dresser and closet space, and french doors to the back yard. The other bedroom has bunkbeds with a full size on the bottom and a twin on top. The full size bed can be converted into a sofa. This room also has ample storage and both beds have new mattresses.

The living-room sofa also converts to a queen-size bed to accommodate additional guests. The house has all the amenities, including a new dishwasher, new washer/dryer, cable TV, and wireless internet. Wood floors and elevated ceilings provide a warm yet expansive quality, and the open floor plan of the living room, dining room, and kitchen will help you enjoy family meals, games and conversation. The house is fully stocked with linens and towels, and the kitchen is well-equipped with quality dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen gadgets. There is a large collection of books, DVDs, and board games for you to enjoy as well. It truly feels like home a away from home!

The huge, fully fenced back yard is a rare gem in Pacific Grove, and includes patio furniture, a fire pit, a charcoal grill, horseshoe pits, and several mature oak trees. It's a delightful place to play with children and pets, or to lounge while reading a book and enjoying some terrific local wine.

Included with your stay are two Aquarium passes, and the Aquarium is only a five minute walk from the house. The passes can be used as many times as you want, and they allow entry through the members' entrance, which means no waiting in line. There are also many local events to enjoy, from farmer's market (Mondays in PG, Tuesdays in Monterey) to art, live music, wine tasting, whale watching, golf, and much more. The peninsula has much to offer, and it's all easily accessible from our comfortable home.

About Lance Farrell

Lance and I were married in July of 2012 in Lake Tahoe (one of our other favorite places in the world), and were blessed to welcome our first child in 2013, and are expecting our second in March of 2018. I was born and raised on the Monterey peninsula, and after a number of years away I returned to teach at a Waldorf-inspired charter school in Pacific Grove. Lance relocated here from Tahoe, and works for Trader Joe's. We live in the area with our son, Wyatt, our dog Tia, and our cat, Tucker.

Why Lance Farrell chose Pacific Grove

We have a lot of extended family in the area, and jobs we love, so we knew we wanted to keep our roots here. We looked for the right property for a long time before finally settling on this one. In the end, it was the unbeatable location and the spectacular yard that won us over. The ocean view didn't hurt, either. Large yards are hard to come by in Pacific Grove, and we love to spend time outside, whether we're gardening, throwing horseshoes, playing with the dog, or just lounging and firing up the BBQ in the mild PG weather, it's a real treat to have such a wonderful space to enjoy.

The house is very warm and welcoming, and has all the conveniences of home. Lance and I are always available to help you with any questions before or during your stay. Whether it's about the property, finding the best places to eat and drink, or the best dog-friendly beach, don't hesitate to call or email us with questions.   • Bedroom 1 has lovely French doors that open up onto the backyard. It gets lots of light in the afternoon, and is furnished with end tables, a large dresser, and an ample closet. Bedroom 2 is also equipped with a comfortable queen bed, end tables, dresser, and large closet. Both bedrooms have original oak flooring. The living room sofa converts into a queen size bed.

The house is very inviting and well-supplied with all the amenities. It's a great place to be indoors and out, and couldn't be in a better location. Two aquarium passes are included with your stay, and the aquarium is only a few blocks away. Whether you want to walk, sail, wine taste, golf, or just read a book in the back yard, we're sure you'll find that our cozy PG home is the perfect place. My wife and I live in the area and are happy to help you with anything before or during your stay.

Great home in a great location!

Loved our stay here! The house was comfortable, had everything we needed, and we were able to walk to multiple vacation venues in both Pacific Grove and Monterey. The kids also loved playing horseshoes out back.

Comfortable and homey

My husband and I had a very nice stay in Pacific Grove. Our son and his family visited us with their children and everybody loved the house and especially the property. Very nice having games for children as we hung out together. We wanted to feel like we were home and this house helped us do just that. Great location to all the attractions and very quiet street. Some minor glitches but we would definitely stay here again.

Great spot

Loved staying at this house! We brought our two young boys and it was perfect. They loved the backyard, logos, and bongo drums! The location couldn't be better. The house is in walking distance of the grocery store, aquarium, and cannery row so no need to deal with parking. It's also a short drive to the beach (asilomar state beach is about 8 min away - so beautiful!). We had an issue with the router/wifi while we were there and the owner was very quick to respond to fix the issue. The only complaint we had is that one of the beds was way too firm and uncomfortable for us but we were able to sleep in the other room comfortably. We will definitely consider staying here again if it's available the next time we visit Monterey!

The Monterey Bay area is famous for its beautiful scenery, mild weather, and pleasant atmosphere. In addition to the extraordinary Monterey Bay Aquarium and world-renowned golfing, there are many other activities to enjoy as well, such as sailing, kayaking, hiking, scuba diving, wine tasting, and many delightful scenic walks and drives. Our property is very centrally located, only a few blocks from the aquarium, and a short drive from Pebble Beach. It is also a short walk to a great variety of delicious restaurants and tasty cafes and bars. Carmel is just over the hill and has a beautiful beach, art galleries, shops, and many excellent restaurants. The Big Sur coast is also a short drive away, and provides some of the most stunning scenery and hiking anywhere in California.If you['re interested in any recommendations for particular places to eat, drink, hike, play, or hang out, please don't hesitate to contact us!
