Perfect location, perfect home, amazing owners.

  • 5 of 5

We had such an amazing time staying here!!! The place is a perfect size for 2 people, the kitchen is well set up, all the amenities are in great shape. The jacuzzi is easy to fill up, leave it full for the day when you come back the water will be hot, you can turn hot water on, but watch out you might not have any left for your shower later. :) The place also has beach towels, we ended up bringing our own but was good to have them as a back up.

You are about a 5-7$ car ride from the beach & city, the place is located right in the middle of both, you definitely can ride bikes to each (which the property offers) but we didn't mind paying a little extra for a car.

We preferred the food in the city more then the beach strip restaurants, couple of our favorites are:

EL CAMELLO JR.- best ceviche ever, tacos were great too, locals spot; Taqueria la Eufemia - bar with tacos near the beach, great vibe; La Parrillada Grill - great grilled meats & food; El Asadero - fancier mexican steak house, sit outside, great food.

You can go to beach clubs and if you spend about 20$ per person throughout the day you don't need to pay the entrance fee, all of them have food & drinks, bring your own towels though! Our favorites were:

Kereta Tankah Beach - gorgeous place, chill vibe, not too many people & has a cenote on property; Rosa del Viento - another great beach club, has cushioned lounge beds, food & drinks were great; Coco Tulum Hotel - pricey, but if you want something with beats and kind of a clubby beach vibe, this is for you.

We are smokers and would only smoke on the roof, everyone keeps their balcony doors opened so smoking on the balcony will inconvenience the neighbors, last thing we wanted to do. The roof is a little separate from the actual apartment, just one flight of stairs up and you have your own private nook to chill. We really wanted to use the grill but didn't have time.

Overall this place is great. We highly recommend staying here. The owners are very nice, property managers are so sweet. They have a booklet with a lot of recommendations in it, check it out, some good stuff in there!

Felt like home

  • 5 of 5

The condo was perfect for our 6 night stay. Close to the pueblo, bank, restaurants, grocery store, and anything else you may need. We felt right at home, bed was comfortable , condo was super clean , and it came with plenty of items to make our beach days a little easier. Tulum was the perfect location for us and if hopefully we ever come back , we would definitely book this place again. Property manager Rosy and owner Bill were extremely helpful with any questions we had and provided plenty of information about the area. Definitely a vacation we will never forget.

Everything was great

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 5 nights at Casa Cielo and wished we could have stayed longer. It is just as described and seen in pictures-clean, new. The condo complex was very quiet and peaceful, and not many people around in April. We rarely saw anyone at the pool. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable-the best I've ever slept in Mexico! The location was wonderful for biking to the beach-we did every day. It would be a little far if looking to go to one of the beach clubs at the southern end. We also biked to the ruins and grocery store within 15 minutes. (We are active and usually ride bikes anyway.) We typically took a taxi to town at night for dinner for 80 pesos.

We especially appreciated Bill's written info that he emailed us about the condo and tons of restaurant recommendations. This info was in the condo as well.

We did not use the rooftop deck at all b/c we seemed to always be at the beach. But it is a lovely spot to relax also.

I would definitely come back to this condo and area.

Clean, well kept, AC, hot water, private, and great location.

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time. The private roof top was a great way for us to end our day. The place itself had everything we need and more. The bed was comfortable, WiFi in the apartment reached the private rooftop. Anything you can possible need they had (coffee maker, washer and dryer, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, travel cooler, etc.). You are a short distance from the supermarket, beach, and city. The food in the area was great. Rosy the property manager wasn’t available so Bill set us up with Diana. She was very nice and helpful. Recommend us to some really delicious places. Don’t be afraid to try food from the street vendors. We had rented a car so we took a drive to chichen Itza. If you get a chance to go, go it was truly amazing and the drive was only about 2 hours from the apartment. Needless to say we plan on returning and exploring more. If when we return the apartment is available we will for sure rent again. Thank you Bill for sharing your place.
