Fort Myers City of Palms: Fort Myers has the nickname City of Palms since the Mc. Gregory Blvd. starting from College Blvd. is to Downtown planted on both sides of the street, thousands of Royal Palms. On Mc. Gregory is the winter home and laboratory of Thomas Alva Edison, the inventor of the light bulb, which is worth a visit.
Here in Fort Myers keep a few acquaintances baseball team (Boston Red Sox, ectr.) Their Spring Training, which is worth seeing. What can be seen in the spring of 2012 at the new stadium on Daniels Parkway.
It is also worth the climate, year round sunshine and warm.

Outlett Shopping: Fort Myers is surrounded by a number of outlet centers, where at low prices, many well-known brands, which are much more expensive in Europe are offered.
Tanger Outlet is the closest and is located on the way to Sanibel.
Miramar Outlet is the largest in the area where almost everything is represented and is located off Interstate 75, heading south, exit Corksrew.
Gulf Cost Town Center also features many stores (Bass Pro Shop, ect.) And several good restaurants and bars, over 41 heading south on Alico Road, shortly after Interstate 75, right hand.
Coconut Point is a favorite shopping place with several large department stores and good restaurants, 41 to the south, about 15 miles, then, not to be overlooked on the left.
Trips: Fort Myers is the ideal starting point in all directions.
Whether by speed boat to Key West. Or by car to St Petersburg, Sunshine Skyway, Dali Museum, or Sarasota Auqarium, or Orlando, Disney, Universal Studio, ect., St. Augustin, or the other direction, Fort Laudertale, Sawgrassmill, Southbeach, and South Outlet Center continue to Key West.
