E komo mai, welcome to our home in paradise. Our well equipped tropical home is located in the beach town of Kailua, world famous for it's white sandy beaches and bay. It's new on the market and is conveniently located less than a mile from both the beach, downtown Kailua and the H3 freeway. It's a 5 minute bike or car ride, 16 minute walk to a public right of way to our white sandy shore line of Kailua Bay.

Our home is on a cul de sac lined with coconut trees affectionately known as Duck Lane to all Kailuians as the street is parallel to one of the two water ways that gives Kailua (Two Waters) it's name. A ride down Duck Lane ends at ObamaVille, the beach where President Obama spend his Hawaiian holidays. A step out side the house provides views of the the Koolau Mountain range as well a our neighborhood's own Kalaheo mountain with hiking trails and stunning views of Kailua Bay.

The three bedroom home is well equipped and has been newly renovated with a deluxe new kitchen, a combination of new laminate wood and acid stained concrete floors that match the recently installed concrete kitchen counter tops. Two of the bedrooms have been recently extended and upgraded including a master suite with plantation shutters looking over a large, lush back yard with it's own private deck, as well as an on-suite bath with an extra large soaker tub. We've recently added a new laundry room off the master bath with new washer and dryer, and a new outdoor shower.

The large extended Queen bedroom has a bonus attached office with AC for those that want to get some quiet work done while in paradise or planning your day's activities. Enjoy using 300 mbps high speed download cable internet and WIFI. We have a family room and large enclosed patio with open beam ceilings and a dinning area that seats six. We also have ceiling fans in just about every room. The third bedroom has a full size bed.

We have carefully landscaped the grounds with lush tropical haupu`u and lau`a`i ferns, tulip wood, all spice, apple banana and papaya trees. Two well equipped ouside paver decks provide morning and evening refuges from a full day of sightseeing and beaching. A gas BBQ grill is also included.

The town's primary bike lane is right outside our door. Ride the ten mile round trip bike path and see all of Kailua. We are also a block a way from Kawai Nui Marsh dike walk, hike and bike path which also takes you on a scenic route into Kailua town.

This house has a two bedroom apartment attached where our son, his wife and our grandson live. The apt is separated by two double wall construction and you have your own fenced in yard for privacy. Mike is the resident mountain biking and surfing expert. Ask him about Mike's Trail (biking and hiking), which serpentines up the mountain two blocks away with fantastic views of Kailua, or where to get ono (excellent) Boston Style Pizza.

About Bob Rogers

Life long, kama`aina (local) owners Barbara and Bob bought this house in 1985 in a premier Coconut Grove neighborhood and have been steadily upgrading it with extended bedrooms, studio/office, tropical landscaping and most recently a deluxe upscale modern kitchen. Bob aka Hawaii recording artist Coconut Joe, built his studio and recorded both CJ CDs in this house. The studio with AC has been turned into a large bedroom with office space. With the kids having moved on, Barbara and Bob have moved to a smaller home on the North Shore and now make their lovely Hawaiian home in Kailua available for others to enjoy.

Third generation kama`aina, Bob bought the house he was raised in. As owner/manager he will be able to provide you with a unique perspective of his home town and the outdoor activities it's well known for. Ask him about his favorite restaurant, bike ride, hiking trail, or which public access has the best waves for surfing, boogie boarding or little ones.

Our beach house proximity is great, a mile from the beach and Kailua town, on the bike lane, close enough to the H3 freeway which will get you to the rest of the island with ease.

Wonderful in every way!

Just great - the house, the location, the host, everything. It is a beautiful house and yard, comfortable and fully stocked. The location is wonderful - nice quiet neighborhood, walking access to the beach, close to shopping, restaurants, activities like kayaking, Honolulu, etc. Bob could not have been nicer or more helpful - not that we had any problems at all, other than some of the booking process, which is really a website issue, not Bob's issue. This is definitely where we will be staying during future visits.

Great house in perfect location for relaxing vacation

Our family of four spent a lovely week in this home. Bob & Barbara obviously care about their property. Everything you need is provided and the home is well maintained. The location in a quiet neighborhood a short distance from a wonderful beach made this house a great place to stay. Kailua has a lot of shops and restaurants and easy access to exploring the rest of the island. We hope to return in the not too distant future.

Immaculate home perfect for families

We chose this home for how clean it looked and for the fact that it only had 5-star reviews. We could tell that the home and hosts must have something special. This had to be the cleanest vacation rental I have ever stayed at - from the rooms and bathrooms to the kitchen drawers and cupboards, everything was spotless. The beds are super comfortable, the setting is peaceful and relaxing (loved waking up to bird song every morning), and there was plenty of room for our family of six. Our 2-year old is still begging to go back. The house is perfectly equipped for small kids with a large grassy backyard and single story layout. They even had children's serving bowls, cups and utensils available for use during our stay. The home exceeded our expectations and was the perfect home base for exploring Oahu. I highly recommend it!

Well cared for home

We loved staying at this house- great breezes, lots of good hang-out spaces, great kitchen, comfortable beds...and spotlessly clean. The outdoor shower is very zen, and owner provides just about everything you could need. We would stay here again, sooo happily!

Lovely setting

Well appointed home. We found everything we could need here in a beautiful setting. Close enough to the beach and the backyard was such a wonderful retreat. We are already missing the hawaain air!
