About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 8 (7 adults)

This remodeled Durango home close to downtown has a spacious backyard for entertaining outside and a homey interior for a relaxed retreat.

Located in the residential neighborhoods of Durango, guests are just a short walk from Main Ave., and need only go over the bridge to reach downtown.

This historic Victorian home maintains its regal exterior yet houses a fresh and modern interior. The open-concept floor plan is bathed in natural light, creating an airy, comforting space.

Basic amenities include WiFi and cable. The living area overlooks the yard, and includes soft leather furniture and a desk for guests who need to catch up on a few emails or some homework.

The kitchen is particularly roomy, making it easy for multiple guests to utilize the blonde wood counters, dark wood cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. Spread out at the breakfast bar for a laid-back cup of coffee and the Sunday comics, or head out to the back porch for outside dining with a grill and patio furniture. While the dishwasher cleans your plates, head out to the grassy yard for a game of corn hole or a lounge in the hammock.

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home can sleep up to eight guests (six adults maximum, please). The downstairs bedroom offers a queen bed and an adjacent bedroom, with a laundry room close by. Upstairs are two spacious bedrooms that share a full bathroom. The master suite has a king bed and a private balcony. The second upstairs bedroom has a king bed and a twin bed for a small family to share.

This home is a great rental for multi-generational families. Wintertime guests looking for snowy fun are sure to find a great local sledding hill, or enjoy days spent at Purgatory Mountain Resort 26 miles to the north. Guests during the warm months may like to float or fish on the Animas River, bike the challenging pass to Silverton, or take the scenic railroad tour.

About Vacasa, CO - Southwest Colorado Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Fort Lewis Soccer Trip!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous time in Durango at The Park House! Three generations of family enjoyed laughs and drinks around the kitchen counter while visiting our son, who attends Fort Lewis College and plays on the Mens Soccer Team. The kitchen supplies were ample to make a big pot of chili, the accommodations were perfect for all three generations, and the access to downtown and river walk were an added bonus. We will return!

Very nice place

  • 4 of 5

Perfect house for 5 of us to stay in for 2 nights while traveling. Very comfortable place. But only 1 roll of toilet tissue, necessitated a trip to the store. A minor but important omission.

Owner's Response: We apologize if we missed stocking extra toilet paper for our guests. Had we been notified we would have brought more. Thanks!

Stayed while traveling

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful house, and 5 of us traveling together stayed for 2 nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay. There was a very sweet cat living outside on the porch furniture, and it was obvious from the cat hair on the cushion that it had lived here for some time. The cat didn't leave for the entire time we stayed; I hope the management is taking care of this little guy!
