About John White
Jean and I (John) both grew up in the New York metro area but have lived in northern Vermont for almost 30 years now. We met in Manhattan the early 1980's when we both worked for the same company. About 15 years ago Jean gave up corporate work to teach yoga full-time – quite a change, but a very rewarding one. I have recently retired after working for almost 20 years for a wonderful company called Gardener's Supply. We live near Lake Champlain and enjoy sailing during the very short period that constitutes Summer in this latitude. We have two beautiful and spirited granddaughters who keep us busy. And amused.

Why John White chose Estate Smith Bay
Sapphire Hill Village is a well kept, well managed complex in a spectacular location. On site we have two pools with lounge chairs and tiki tables, a restaurant/bar and laundry. A car is not mandatory (although we usually rent one for convenience). Sapphire Beach, with lovely sand, great snorkeling and equipment rentals is right next door. So too is the Sapphire Marina where you can find day sails, fishing charters, BVI day trips and boat rentals. Red Hook - with restaurants, clubs, groceries, banking, shopping and BVI or St. John ferries - is a a half-mile away. There is a bus/taxi stop at the Sapphire Hill Village entrance and taxis are readily available.
What makes this Studio unique
We bought Seabreeze because we wanted to be near Red Hook, we liked Sapphire Hill Village and the view is to die for. After we bought it, we quickly found that - since it faces east - we not only get a daily show at sunrise, but also have a virtually continuous breeze from the easterly trade-winds. Seabreeze needed extensive renovation. We had heard some horror stories about similar undertakings and expected the worst. But we were very, very lucky. The builder we hired turned out to be fantastic. He managed the whole project and gave us great advice and guidance. We hired a very talented cabinet maker who built ans installed the custom cabinets and vanity on time and on budget. The result is a very pretty and pleasant place that we have great affection for. So far, our guests have agreed.

Great spot with amazing views
Very clean and well organized rental. Great location minutes from Red Hook. Views from balcony are amazing, pool and restaurant are just steps away.
Staying in Seabreeze made our trip a breeze! The location is the best on the island. We had our own beautiful beach just a few minutes walk, as well as a few minute drive to beautiful Lindquist beach and were walking distance to bustling Red Hook and the ferry to St. John, although getting a car was a great recommendation from John as we got to explore the island whenever and however we wanted. The condo had everything we needed, and was a perfect fit for us for the week. We fell in love with St. Thomas and St. John and can’t wait to go back!
The Perfect Getaway!
Seabreeze is beautifully decorated and has every amenity that you will need for a short vacation. John, the owner, has obviously put a lot of thought and hard work into making sure that Seabreeze exceeds travelers' expectations. He was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns throughout the process.
Seabreeze and Sapphire Village were the perfect location for a getaway vacation with my wife. Every morning, we were greeted by the unobstructed views of the blue Caribbean waters and U.S. and British Virgin Islands. The lack of obstructions also ensured that we were able to enjoy constant, cool ocean breezes throughout the day and night.
We enjoyed the bar/restaurant and pool located on the first level of the building, below the condo. We spent most of our time at Sapphire Beach, which has beautiful clear blue waters and a beach bar that is open during the day, and is just a short walk through the condo complex.
The condo is just a short ride to Red Hook, which has many wonderful bars and restaurants, and is also the location of the ferry terminal that services Cruz Bay, St. John.
We debated about whether or not we should rent a car while on the island and decided that, because of all of the activities near Sapphire Beach, it wouldn't be necessary. We enjoyed riding the "Dollar Bus," which stops at the entrance to Sapphire Village. From there, the bus, which is actually an open-air safari bus/truck, runs through Red Hook, to K-Mart/Tutu Park Mall/Plaza Extra Supermarket, then continues on to the main strip in Charlotte Amalie. We enjoyed having the opportunity to get to meet and talk with the locals.
Seabreeze is a beautiful condo in the perfect location for those wishing to trade in the fast-paced life for a little rest and relaxation. We will definitely be back!
Great place to stay:
Definitely place to chose as an accommodation. The owner provided all info and description about the island including both, things to do and restaurants. The beach is walking distance, grill/bar bellow and the most important very clean and neat.
Great place for the money
John is a great communicator and kept me informed about the condition the pricing and all aspects of the condo. Truly a great place for the price can't be beat on the island. Looking forward to booking it again

Optional maid service during your stay (bed linen change, clean towels, light cleaning and trash removal) is $50 per occurrence. We give a 100% refund if you cancel at least 60 days before your arrival date. If you cancel from 31 to 60 days before your arrival date we will refund 90% of the invoiced lodging fee for any night(s) we are able to re-book. If you cancel 30 days or less before your arrival date we will refund 75% of the invoiced lodging fee for any night(s) we are able to re-book.
