Clean and welcoming home
The House was emaculate and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The House was close to a ton of resturauntS and fun things to do. Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely Home, Lovely Neighborhood
We loved our weekend here. Beautiful charming home in a great walkable location, one block from a beautiful gorge and an easy walk to the Commons.
Great location! Within walking distance of town. House was clean, beds comfortable, and plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. Also nice wide outdoor porch. Only 1 of 3 bedrooms was air conditioned but I would still highly recommend this place.
We really enjoyed our stay here
The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The owner was very nice and helpful. The interior was quite clean and had everything we needed. The list of amenities includes a coffeemaker. We brought coffee, but found out it is a Keurig coffeemaker. The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 was that the porch furniture and porch were dusty, with a small pile of leaves in the corner. It was fairly easy to clean these so that we could enjoy sitting on the porch.
Charming home in a very noisy neighborhood
While this house has retained much of its' century old charm and character, we had some significant issues with staying here. The house is located on a corner lot of 2 busy streets - we had cars, trucks, and buses passing by all day and NIGHT. Sleeping was extremely difficult, despite the "sleep" i.e., sound, machine provided. Ear plugs were required; even then, sleep was challenging. We had to have the windows open because it was summer and very hot. Also, one of the bedrooms did not have sufficient window coverings and the sun poured in early in the morning (particularly disturbing since we weren't able to sleep well through the night). Other issues were the lack of closet or storage space in bedrooms. On the plus side, kitchen and bathroom is updated and plenty of shared space downstairs. Convenient 10 minute walk to downtown. Owner was responsive.
Great location. House was great. Everything was above our expectations. We will definitely stay here again.
