It's missing a little something.

  • 2 of 5

From other reviews, I had higher expectations than what I experienced. Here's a rundown.

The good:

-Easy check in, with keys mailed. No waiting in long lines at Copper Central Res during peak times!

-Quiet location, quiet unit

-Nice views of ski hill

-Reasonably equipped kitchen

The not so good:

-Location is on the far east outskirts of Copper. Quiet, but also feels a little deserted.

-Interior feels dated. It looks like someone moved their furniture, bedspreads, etc. from the 90's and 00's out of their house after renovating and put it here.

-Some items don't work well, like window cranks are nearly stripped.

-Fireplace didn't work at all.

-Overall condo complex, common spaces, are in need of major updates.

I would not book it again.

Owner's Response: We are sorry for your experience at Copper Valley. However we do provide current pictures of the condo on the website so that a potential renter can determine if the unit is to their liking. The hallways and entry were remodeled within the past two years. Our condo was completely remodeled with more of European décor and design which was done professionally within the past eight years. The condo is a short walk to the children's chair lift and within walking distance to the Copper MT. Village.

Spring break and back again this summer!

  • 5 of 5

We've just returned from a summer visit following our spring break ski trip to this unit, and both stays were wonderful! The views are amazing, and the unit itself is very nice. We've stayed several places at Copper Mountain over the years, and this has quickly become a favorite. Leslie offers outstanding communication, and genuinely wants you to enjoy your stay.

The king bed is super comfy, and the twin bunks received high marks from the teenagers. Plenty of pillow selections and everything else you might need to feel at home. We mostly cook ourselves, so a well stocked kitchen is a must...and this kitchen lacks nothing.

For skiing, the Pitchfork lift (closest building to Pitchfork) is a short walk & ride up, and from there you ski down to the Super Bee. The shuttle stop is also right in front of the building, but we only used for evening runs around the village. For lunch or a break, simply ski back to the path just past the heated outdoor pool. Really nice mountain access. We don't have green skiers, but if you do, you literally could watch your kids from the deck. You're also just across the street from Woodward and the Athletic Club.

We equally enjoyed the location for our summer visit. It's a super quiet spot with a short walk to either Center Village or East Village. If you continue walking east across Hwy 91 at the Copper entrance, you're on the trail system with plenty of nature...unless you stop at the awesome coffee & donut shop in the Conoco station (or head to Center Village for Sugar Lips donuts and coffee...either direction is a huge win). We enjoyed watching the Pika's & Chipmunks play below from our deck, and were frequented by the local hummingbirds.

We opted for outside parking near the door in summer, and underground for winter. A Chevy Suburban can back into this assigned garage space, with room to access the rear and side doors (I mention this because we've been stuck in overflow parking for some units with small garages or assigned parking that won't fit our Suburban). As a bonus, this assigned underground space is also directly by the parking garage access door, so hauling your things in and out is very convenient. You will take stairs up to the unit, but something has to balance out the donut runs (and you can't park any closer than this assigned spot!).

We'll be looking forward to our next opportunity to return for another stay here. The unit itself, the location, and the owner are all highly recommended!

Great ski condo

  • 5 of 5

The condo was clean and the views were awesome. One of the best things was the copper coach which would pick you up within minutes of being called and take you to and from the slopes. Ski lockers were great and the sauna and heated outdoor pool were perfect at the end of the day.

Affordable and Convenient

  • 4 of 5

We had a great 8 night stay! The condo was cheaper than many of the mountains' old, worn out efficiency rentals. The views were amazing, the covered parking is SO nice, and the condo was roomy and nicely appointed. Communication and "check-in" was a breeze-because the keys were mailed in advance, so our 10PM arrival was no sweat. Thanks for everything- we'd book it again in a heartbeat!

Clean & Cozy. We will definitely return. Leslie was communicative and polite. We stayed 1 week with 2 teenage boys and made great memories. Thank you Leslie.
