Beautiful Lake Cabin, Sleeps 8 With Private Dock And Plenty Of Sandy Shoreline.
About Deb Miller
We purchased this lovely property from dear friends who have loved and cared for this property since 2007. It is a simple property that we know we will enjoy with our adult children and growing family of new grandbabies. We will attempt to spend every minute we can on Moose Lake in spring, summer and fall. Winter months we plan to come up to ski, snowshoe, or ice skate on the lake. Or, just kick with a good book and a roaring fire. We love it because it is so family friendly.

Why Deb Miller chose Hayward
My husband grew up on a river and with the 10,000 lakes of northern Minnesota. We are so excited to get back to those “cabin” roots! We have spent time as renters of this cabin and as friends of the previous owners. When the opportunity arose to purchase the property we knew it was right for us because of the love and care that they have put into maintaining and upgrading the property and the mentorship they are providing to sustain this quality rental. The property has an amazing view and lakeshore quality. The cabin is elevated and south facing so the afternoon sun just dances off the water. There's also usually the benefit of a gentle breeze. The Maple Leaf Lodge sits toward the end of a quiet lane and has its own long driveway so no one really is able to see down to the cabin when the leaves are on the trees. As far as natural setting, it's really everything you hope a cabin to be. Easy access, paved road, stunning lakeshore, nice big trees (maples, of course), abundant wildlife and plenty of peace and quiet.
What makes this Cabin unique
We purchased this property with the goal to continue a unique vacation experience for visitors to the Moose Lake area. There is a lot of attention to detail in the cabin and we are very proud of the fact that most guests return year after year. One guest described the cabin as 'not overly north-woodsy. It's got that feel but also very tastefully done with high quality appliances and furnishings.’ I hope you are able to come up and see for yourself. We look forward to affording you, your family and friends a true Northwood lake vacation experience.

Decided to get away with our two dogs for a snowy weekend. The cabin was perfect for what we were looking for, cozy and had everything we needed. Our dogs loved playing in the snow. I also brought my snowmobile along and was able to ride to the lake from the lawn and access trails easily.
Charming cabin tucked in the woods.
We were here on a wintery weekend for a girls get away. We went snow shoeing on the lake and spent the evenings cooking in the kitchen and playing games around the table. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Everything was perfect!....but needed towels....
This was everything we thought it would be. We planned a getaway from the city life and ventured to the lodge. We arrived on Thanksgiving Day in the afternoon after 5ish hours on the road. We realized we forgot our food bag when we arrived and there was muffin mix from the hosts. Very, very appreciative of the muffins to tide us over till Friday. 30 minutes to Hayward. :) The fireplace was already lit and the cabin was warm. So welcoming. Cabin was very clean and perfectly organized to easily find supplies. We thought the beds were comfty. The only thing we missed in the description was there was no bath towels. Overall, it was perfect and we will plan to return in the summer. Great place! Thanks for everything!!
Thank you so much for the kind review and we are so pleased you enjoyed the holiday at our place.
Thank you for the reminder to emphasize in the welcome letter to bring bathroom towels.
We look forward to your visit next summer!

The Maple Leaf Lodge is located 30 miles east of Hayward Wisconsin on beautiful Moose Lake. Even though the area is famous for it's many freshwater lakes, the Hayward area also provides world class 'off water' fun. Road biking, hiking, hunting, mountain biking, cross country skiing are just some of the activities waiting for you. Be sure to pencil in a day to explore Hayward's quaint shops and many wonderful restaurants. Hayward is home to the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, 'The Big Musky'. A one of a kind attraction in North America.
