The private apartment looks out on Table Rock Lake. It is set up as a romantic retreat for married (husband and wife) couples or a single individual just seeking a peaceful retreat. One beautiful bedroom with kingsized bed, kitchen, dining room, and a sitting area with working fireplace, private bathroom, covered patio with gas bbq all at a working hobby farm. Fresh food available for purchase when in season. Various boats and jet skis are available to rent at Kings River Marina. The owner of the property is a Master Journeyman painter who specializes in decorative painting so your apartment is truly "one of a kind". Beautiful and peaceful best describes this property and location which is close enough to Branson and Eureka Springs for a great day trip yet far enough away from the busy strip so you can fully relax. One unique feature of this property is that it is a hobby farm including dairy goats, chickens, a horse and two cute, friendly, little Shorkies. There are also vegetable, fruit and flower gardens and an aquaponics greenhouse where tilapia fish are grown. There is an amazing tree house that may be available for children to sleep and play in (additional if available).

About Mike and LoAnn Horst
LoAnn was a successful office manager before we married but after we had our first son she decided to stay home and homeschool our boys. One is out on his own in a new business adventure and our middle son goes to College of the Ozarks. Joshua is still home and he loves giving tours of our farm. Mike has worn many hats, but over the last 8 years he has run a decorative painting business. He has had extensive training as a Master Journeyman Painter and you will enjoy some of his work in your apartment. We enjoy giving tours throughout our main home to those who enjoy creative home decor.
Why Mike and LoAnn Horst chose
LoAnn and I built our home doing most of the work ourselves and sub contracting some of the work out. Mike always dreamed of having a home on the lake, so we want to invite you to come and enjoy a part of our dream. Our hobby farm provides a large portion of the food that we enjoy as a family, from Tilapia grown in our aquaponics greenhouse to fresh milk and cheese from our dairy and you can't forget our free range chickens and honey bees. Our home is perched on a bluff overlooking Table Rock Lake, so if water sports is your thing, this is the place to be, especially with Kings River Marina renting boats and jet skis right across from our property. Our setting is very peaceful being that it is far enough away from busy Branson and Eureka Springs yet close enough for a days outing to either location.

A wonderfully quiet getaway!
My husband and I stayed here in celebration of our 32nd wedding anniversary. We couldn't have picked a better spot! The apartment was absolutely beautiful as well as the property around it. It was so very thoughtful of the owners, Mike & LoAnn, to supply us with homemade cinnamon raisin & whole wheat bread along with other breakfast items - it was all very delicious! I absolutely love animals and one of the best parts of our stay was Shadow and Lily "hanging" out of their own personal doggie door! Super friendly little dogs as was their owners! We also truly enjoyed sightseeing around Eureka Springs, which wasn't that far of a drive. Would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful and beautiful location and family!
We genuinely enjoyed our visit and hope to return!!!
Wonderful, welcoming modern apartment--awesome shower! We enjoyed preparing our evening meals on the counter top induction cooking system. It was fun to learn and use! The Host family was most gracious and willing to meet any need for us and others in their home. What an added treat to find fresh breakfast items stocked in refrigerator for our enjoyment. The lake and Ozark mountain view was everything we expected--quiet, remote, calming us to relax and enjoy. The rolling hills of the countryside dotted with cattle was a welcome respite that will be remembered. Thank you for sharing your home with us! See y'all again! :)
A beautifully decorated, comfortable getaway!
The Horst family really knows how to make a place comfortable and welcoming. When we arrived there was a basket of fruit and a nice dish with mixed nuts and and chocolates. In the Fridge there was homemade cinnamon raisen bread, butter and jam, as well as milk, granola cereal and eggs. The king size bed was very comfortable and the reclining love seat was great for TV watching. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking simple meals or grilling out on the porch and the view of the lake was very nice. There is a great DVD collection of over a hundred movies. We would recommend the Hobby Farm to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing getaway, yet within an easy drive to Branson, Missouri in one direction and Eureka Springs, Arkansas in the other. Mike and his family made us feel right at home!
Haven of Rest! Hospitality Galore!
Upon receiving the first call from Mike I knew this place would be special. I've never felt more welcomed by "total strangers" in all my travels. From the first smiles and greetings I knew we had found instant friends. The apartment was superb! All the extra touches were just added delights... the homemade cinnamon bread waiting in the frig, fresh farm milk, eggs, the chilled juice pitcher and juice in the freezer, the nuts and chocolates, fruit basket, extra sundries... to name a few. The accommodations were first class as well as the hosts!
The view of the lake was beautiful though a little obstructed by the foliage. I wish we'd have had more time to play with the critters or visit with our new friends but our objective was to unplug. Our visit was between puppy litters so we missed out on the "Puppy Therapy" I understand produces large volumes of serotonin! And who couldn't use more of that! Branson and Eureka are short drives so we hit them both but the best part of the trip was relaxing at the apartment, cooking out on the grill, watching a movie taken from the huge selection available and just "chilling" without the bombardment of work and routine.
This place will not disappoint!
Such a great getaway from it all. The apartment has been very well thought through. Beautiful view from living room, kitchen and bedroom.close proximity to Eureka Springs. Great hosts who want you to enjoy our stay more than anything. Hobby farmers has goats milk, bagels, yogurt, etc in the fridge for us. Very hospitable with their fruit of the spirit. Highly recommend, 5*!
