Overview

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, Sleeps 5

A private deck, elegant western-inspired decor, and sweeping views of Bear Mountain make this Big Bear Lake log cabin an ideal destination for families and couples seeking a relaxing alpine getaway.

This two-bedroom home is beautifully situated only half a mile from Bear Mountain Resort, where visitors will find 12 ski lifts and a terrain park in the winter, as well as a golf course and a mountain bike park in the summer.

The living space is full of natural beauty, from stone quartz floors to reclaimed wood accents. After a day on the slopes, guests can warm their feet by the stone fireplace, or pile on the leather sofas to watch a DVD on the flatscreen TV.

No detail was overlooked in the full kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances, a pebble backsplash, and leathered granite countertops. Enjoy your meals in the open dining room for six, load up the dishwasher to handle the chores, and enjoy a glass of wine at the bar counter for three.

Step outside to find a stunning tree-lined deck, which features a gas grill, a picnic table, and Adirondack chairs for sunny afternoons. And to ensure that guests unplug and spend time outside, Shasta's Moon is not equipped with WiFi.

At night, this two-bedroom home can sleep as many as five guests in its lovely aspen log beds. The master bedroom features a queen bed, while the second bedroom offers a queen bed and a set of twin bunk beds. There is one full bathroom and a half-bath for guests to share.

No matter the season, there is something for all ages to enjoy in the outdoor wonderland of Big Bear Lake. Swimmers, kayakers, and fishermen will find the Pine Knot Marina only four miles away, while golfers can hit the links at the nearby Bear Mountain Resort. And when the temperatures drop, skiers and snowboarders can explore 748 acres of terrain at Bear Mountain, or drive less than four miles west to ride the 14 lifts at Snow Summit.

Escape to the quiet beauty of the California mountains - book this lovely Big Bear home today!

About Vacasa, CA - Inland Empire Local Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Would definitely come back!

 • 4 of 5

The cabin is cozy and beautiful. I loved the view and felt as if I was among the trees. It is a quiet neighborhood. We had no issues with no window coverings. The beds and couch are very comfy. The staff was friendly and responsive. We look forward to coming back!

Cozy cabin

 • 4 of 5

The family enjoyed the comfort of this cabin. It's modern and it doesn't remind us of grandmas home. Wifey loved the kitchen area and furnishings. You do have surrounding cabins so you don't feel like your alone. No wifi which is great because kids don't sit on their phones or iPads. But there's no reception for ATT. You have to drive down into town to get good reception.

Perfect getaway

 • 5 of 5

We loved this place and will stay again. It's definitely a step above (or three or four) the typical Big Bear accommodations. The furniture was ultra nice and very comfortable and even the oven was exceptionally nice. The only issue was the heat- the rooms heat way more than the rest of the cabin, so just keep the heat down more than you think when you go to bed. Obviously not a deal breaker.
