About Amy Felgemacher

My husband John and I have invested in different properties all around the Western New York area, and with Downtown Buffalo experiencing such a fantastic revival, we’re so happy that we can now include this brownstone. Being born and raised in Buffalo, we’re very familiar with the area and would be happy to share what we know and love about the city. We also share a passion for travel, so we know how important it is to stay in a place that has all the comforts of home.

Beautiful stay in the perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 were up in the area to visit Niagara Falls and we wanted to stay near downtown Buffalo. This brownstone was not only in the perfect location but it was completely what we were looking for. Clean, well maintained and managed by a wonderful owner. Amy was there if you needed anything or had any question. She also provides a ton of information about the area, where to go, what to do, guides, etc. Very thoughtful and if we ever visit the area again, we know exactly where we want to stay. Exactly what we wanted.

Great VRBO Experience

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just returned from a Thanksgiving trip to Buffalo where we stayed at the Brownstone. It's a great property. The interior is updated with excellent fixtures and appliances. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with anything you could need to cook as if you were at home. The location is also excellent, with the property being situated between two of Buffalo's major thoroughfares (Main Street and Delaware Avenue). We were a bit concerned about parking, as on street is the only option in the area. With the Thanksgiving holiday, this concern never materialized. The owner of the property (Amy) was always quick to reply to e-mails leading up to the stay, and reached-out to ensure everything was in order during it. I highly recommend the Brownstone if you're looking for excellent quality at a reasonable price during your next trip to Buffalo.

Excellent choice!

  • 5 of 5

We use VRBO a lot and I had to admit, this place was very homey and one of the most comfortable places to stay. The building is beautiful from the outside and very well kept and clean inside. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quiet and easy to sleep in during vacation--I was surprised considering the urban location. We cooked a large meal towards the end of our stay and found the kitchen supplies to be top notch with a great gas stove and grill on rooftop deck (which was awesome for breakfast as well). With in-laws in Buffalo, I hope to make this a regular stop while visiting family! The Lenox bar within walking distance became a regular stop each night, with pages and pages of craft brews and ciders available for those wanting to experiment with bartender's suggestion. Amy was easily available for our questions and check in was a breeze. With temperatures above average for beginning of fall, I was so thankful for the amazing AC in the unit. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in on a humid day that all floors were nice and cool ( I assumed with an older building in Buffalo that AC wouldn't be available). We can't wait to return! Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful stay in a hip area of the city!

  • 5 of 5

We were 100% satisfied with our stay at Amy's Brownstone. The description is entirely accurate and we had nothing but great things to say about our stay. We came into town for a wedding, never having been to Buffalo before. Amy greeted us at check-in and was very kind to show us the property and talk to us about places to eat, sightseeing, etc. She mentioned a couple great spots in Allentown within walking distance from the property that we stopped at which were great! We went to Allen Burger Venture and had some amazing burgers with plenty of beer/whiskey options to choose from. We went to Niagara Falls one day and it was only about a 30-40 minute drive (to the Canadian side) from the Brownstone. Amy has thought of everything when it comes to comfort, as there were plenty of towels, toiletries, blankets, etc. There is even a couple pages of recommendations for restaurants and things to do sitting on the desk in the living room for you to browse through. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed spending time in the living area as well as the rooftop porch. We enjoyed the art and decor of the entire place, and would most certainly stay there again if we ever find ourselves in the Buffalo/Niagara area. The only concern I would have for anyone would be if you have difficulty walking up flights of stairs as there are multiple levels of stairs (1st floor lobby area, 2nd floor bedrooms, 3rd floor living area). That being said, we enjoyed the layout very much and certainly didn't mind the exercise! You absolutely cannot go wrong in choosing this property for your stay!!

Wonderful visit, wonderful accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous time visiting the Buffalo Brownstone. Amy was so helpful and the place was perfect. The kitchen was equipped with every amenity, the artwork on the walls was beautiful and the beds were comfy. The place was convenient to Everything and we had a wonderful time exploring the city. We hope to return next year. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Car: recommended

The brownstone is a newly acquired property for us. It was built in the 1800's and has undergone a beautiful renovation. From the beautiful oak floors to the stunning cedar closets, there is great detail and charm to this brownstone.

You're only steps away from great restaurants on and around Allen St, and only 0.30 miles to Elmwood Avenue/ Elmwood Village where you can explore the shops, or eat or drink your way through more delicious menus.

This property is only blocks away from Roswell Cancer Institute and Buffalo General Hospital. We're also close to the theatre district, and a block away from the subway that will either take you toward Canalside, and The First Niagara Center to experience games or concerts; or will take you north toward the UB south campus. It's only about a 20 minute car ride to Niagara Falls and perhaps a little less than then to the outlet mall.
