Sutton's Bay vacay
Classic Northern Michigan cottage, directly on the bay. Beautiful view and there was a little bit of beach (given the high waters of Lake Michigan this year, that's rare). Cottage was nicely decorated and had a well stocked kitchen. Sits very close to busy M-22 so there's more traffic/noise than would be ideal. But overall a good experience.
Perfect location for a family vacation. Room enough for everyone. Our 3 year old daughter absolutely loved playing in the sand and water. The small beach was the perfect size for her.
The cottage was very cozy and clean. Beautiful views and crystal clear water. Perfect for families, as the water is just outside your door! We had two adults and five kids with plenty of room. Very well stocked with towels and everything else you may need. The only thing I would recommend is a hose by the back deck. Not only to rinse the sand off your feet before entering the house, but also to clean the deck. Also, the house sits very close to a busy road, which is hard to tell from the pictures online. I would recommend this cottage and would love to return next year!
Great location in Sutton’s Bay
The house is located in a great spot in Sutton’s Bay. Walk right into town! The beach at the house was a bit smaller than the pictures on the website. But, I know the water levels are up quite a bit now on all our lakes this year. The house is super stocked of anything you might need, which was nice! The house could use a little TLC though. The deck paint was peeling. Not that big of a deal to us though. The road noise was quite loud also. The house sits very close to the road. But, all in all, I would recommend this cottage.
Enjoyed our stay!
Perfect location for our family of 6 and a very well appointed home. Appreciate Carol resolving the check/in and housekeeping mix-up on our first day. We enjoyed our stay and would visit Swede Escape again.
The Swede Escape was perfect for our long weekend in Michigan. Steps from downtown, plenty of space inside and out, and well equipped for our family. Easy check in and out. We loved being directly on the lake and agreed that a much longer time is required to enjoy all the house and area have to offer!
