About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Not worth what we paid and in desperate need of repair!

  • 2 of 5

I have to be honest--this condo could have been a nice place to stay. Instead, we found issues that left much to be desired! The first bedroom sliding glass door would not open, resulting in a lack of air flow and no access to that room's deck. The bed coverings, while clean, had many holes. The description of the rental said there was a washer and dryer, however the washer was "out of order." In the downstairs bathroom the pocket door was next to impossible to close. In the master bedroom, the light on the dresser didn't work and there was no screen on the slider, so the choice was air flow versus insects. One of the chairs on that deck was so filthy we wouldn't touch it. On the main floor, the carpet was in desperate need of cleaning, and the slider's screen door was completely out of the frame, a minor upgrade from missing entirely. The kitchen cupboards could use inventorying--there were parts of appliances, but I could not find a food processor or blender. Also, after our arrival we attempted to turn on the tv following the instructions in the binder. Surprise! The main controller didn't work! We eventually figured out how to work around it with the other remotes. This rental was such a disappointment that we cut short our trip.

Oh my gosh😳

  • 1 of 5

This was my family vacation and our 1st time in Tahoe. The unit is older and needs a lot of TLC or total make over. Let me say the rooms were dirty, the bathrooms need a steam clean. We sucked it up to one oops after the other. We shopped for our groceries with the grill in mind(as advertised) only to find that the property did not have a gas grill. The home owners association "banded" them. However, we see units all around us with grills that are being used. The Vacasa rep said I could use the community grill. No not so have to book the grills one month in advance. Here we are cooking in the unit with the AC that is not working so well. Then day 2 the downstairs toilet over flows and we see a sign saying the washing machine is not working after we put the towels on the floor. It was one blow after the other. I say it's false advertising. I was not a happy at all. We reserved and paid in full for this unit in May. To arrive in July and not have any idea that the grill and washing machine were not available for a family of six is upsetting and disappointing. We should have been notified. The toilet was repaired on the 5th of July. My children enjoyed the lake and outdoor activities. My husband and I are grateful for the time with our college kids, but will never book again with HomeAway/Vacasa. I feel as I deserve some sort of a refund.

Not a good impression first room we saw the bedspread had big holes not a good site to see.

  • 1 of 5

The property needs a lot of work. The carpet was really dirty and many of the bedding had holes.Hall way and stairs are to narrow.Pictures on line makes the place look wider. Gas grill is really old and has no gas tank in the instructions it says it does but it doesn't.We didn't stay not even a night my mother became ill and we had to take her to the hospital. We did purchase an insurance through someone and both vacations rentals home away and vacasa just gave us the run around,so no money back.So anyone interested in booking online or with vacasa think twice!I am soo disappointed never again will I book with vacation rental home away or vacasa.

The condo in Carnelian Woods suited our needs but you need to fix it and remodeling the place

  • 3 of 5

The condo in Carnelian Woods suited our needs with a great location and all the conveniences of home but desperately needs a remodel. Super outdated 80's furniture and appliances. Also had to kill a few large spiders

and the wifi only worked about half the time.
