We are surrounded by alfalfa fields, ranches, and farms. The sky goes forever in all directions, with a beautiful view of Cedar Mountain to the east. You can almost reach out and touch the stars at night. Peaceful, private, family gathering spot.Bring binoculars for all the bird watching. You will be amazed at how many birds you can spot while your'e just sitting on the front deck! The bird songs are wonderful! Our favorite is the Meadowlark that just brings joy throughout the whole day.

About owner/property manager
We live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Almost 40 years ago we bought our little house in the country so that we would have a spot to escape to when we wanted to get out of the city. We would bring our 13 children here and they would run wild all over the field. We loved that we were secluded enough that we didn't worry about them disturbing neighbors or about traffic. We loved being able to see the stars, count the shooting stars, and breathe fresh air. Every summer we would bring little farm animals to run around the property with the children. The field was full of holes the children dug (I don't know why children love digging holes so much), and forts. At night time the children would pitch tents all over the field so that they could camp and see the deer come in during the early morning. Now our children bring their children here for the same reasons, so watch out for holes out in the field!
Why owner/property manager chose Cedar City
We chose Cedar City because of the small town and historic charm. It has a lot of sentimental value to me because my Grandparents lived here in the little "Apple Cottage" right off Main Street. I spent much of my youth with them in that house. My Grandfather worked at the train depot when it actually was a train depot! How I loved to visit with him there at work. He did the telegraph and I remember how amazed I was that he could listen to those clicks and send out clicks while he was talking and laughing with me, all at the same time! I remember when the only theater was the little one down town and the box office was outside. Every Saturday, my sisters, friends, and I would go to the matinee and then walk over to the drive-inn for fries and then head over to the public swimming pool to swim. It was an outdoor pool at the spot the library now sits. The whole town would come out to cool off! The town was small enough back then that every Halloween our goal was to hit every house in town for treats! We love this town!

Cozy cottage feel with plenty of space
Cousin's Boyesnberry Farm was perfect for our three families. I have gluten and other food allergies, so having two separate kitchens was ideal. From the moment we arrived, the kids were guardians of the chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs... they didn't want to leave! It was a special treat to be able to eat some of the produce in the garden and a few hardy berries that were left at the end of the season, they were delicious! A couple minor issues came up and the homeowner was responsive, kind and appreciative for what we were able to help with. It really felt like our extended family's home.
From this home base we were able to see Zion and hike the Emerald Pools trail. We also went up to Brian Head to appreciate the beauty there and hiked Cedar Break. On the next leg of our trip while heading towards Flagstaff, we were able to see the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It was surprising how much we were able to do and see with such a convenient and comfortable location. We also still had plenty of downtime to enjoy just relaxing together out on the porch or under the tree, not to mention the amazing thunder and lightening show one day. We look forward to our next visit to Cedar City and hope we can stay here again!
Wonderful Relaxing Place
We loved staying here. The farm atmosphere was wonderful and relaxing. The two teenagers we had with us loved the animals and the house was clean and had plenty of space to spread out or visit together.
It was so nice having Diane and her family come stay at "Cousin's! By the time they arrived it felt like family coming for a visit, because of correspondence prior to them actually coming! So glad that they were able to relax and enjoy themselves. I hope that they will be able to return for another stay!
Excellent location, close to the city without being IN the city, and wonderful hosts/owners
We had a fabulous time at Cousins' Boysenberry Farm. Our family reunion was awesome and the whole week was a success. We had everything we needed and there was enough space (both inside and out) for all of us. There were a few minor inconveniences, like no garbage disposal or dishwasher, but those things made doing the dishes even more of a family activity each time, so it was totally fine. Our biggest complaint was that there wasn't a decent kitchen knife to be found anywhere, so we went and bought one and donated it to the home. And honestly, if that is the biggest issue for your vacation, that's a pretty great week. (#FirstWorldProblems)
Overall, we had a wonderful time and the owners made sure we had everything we needed both before and during our stay. We would highly recommend this HomeAway home for your family stay and will probably return here for a future stay.
Fun, cheerful, peaceful property
We had a group of eleven, including a newborn. We had a wonderful time! We gathered fresh eggs in the evenings, played games on the deck, and just enjoyed the solitude. There are a myriad of things to do nearby (we recommend Kanarra Falls). The home was cheerfully decorated in true farmhouse fashion - each room with it's own theme. It was clean and comfortable. The owners were incredibly supportive and responsive to any questions. We'll be back!
Hi Claudia! It was so nice having you and your group stay at "Cousin's"! So glad that you were able to hike "The Falls"! It's a fun, beautiful hike! We will be happy to have you return for another vacation! Best Wishes! Melody
Rustic & clean
It was very rustic, clean, & had enough sleeping space for all of us. Melody & her husband were great to work with & available to help us with any questions or concerns. Thank you for our stay at this property!
It was a pleasure having Ember and her group stay at "Cousin's"! Sorry for the late response! For some reason her message just showed up! I hope that she will come visit us again!
Nice place and nice owner
The owner provides very detailed information about the property, the city, the weather and almost everything you want to know in a new place. That's really helpful and nice.
The place itself is also great. The heater works quite well so the entire floor can feel the same temperature and easy to configure. The design to change the closet into a bed is very lovely, which makes the property be able to accommodate more kids.
Hi Jihi, just found out that my response to you didn't ever go through! Thank you for your kind words and thank you so much for staying at "Cousin's". It was wonderful having such a nice group in our home. Please come again! Best Wishes, Melody
Additional information about rental rates
We charge an extra $60.00 flat fee for 12-19 guests. We charge $100 flat fee for 20 or more guests. This is usually a big savings to our guests as most rentals charge for each extra guest per night (Many charge $20-$25 per extra guest per night). It doesn't take long for that to really add up!
