Hidden but right off the Hwy. I thought that would be an issue but it wasn't. No traffic

We loved it, first time to Broken Bow area and couldn't of picked a better place to stay. Easy access to any and everything this small town had to offer. If you are planning 2-3 day stay you will be disappointed you need at least 4 days minimum we needed 5-6 days to enjoy all it has to offer. Great place for family gatherings and we are already planning next years trip.

Bare bones, but clean and spacious

  • 3 of 5

We had a great time while we stayed in Hochatown.

Positives:

* This property is suited for large groups. We had a family reunion with almost 20 people attending. The building with the living area/kitchen was perfect for our group. It had plenty of space, and there were lots of tables and chairs to set up for food and games. There is one large couch, and two smaller love seats, which worked for us.

*The bathrooms were definitely not fancy, but when you have a large group, being able to do multiple showers at once is a huge bonus. The water was always hot.

*Our kids had a great time playing outdoors. There is a charcoal grill outside and also a fire pit. We took advantage of both.

*The price was unbeatable for the area.

*The property was clean and air conditioned.

Negatives:

*There are a few things in the house that are in disrepair. These are things that should be addressed immediately, because they are safety hazards. There are several spots where the tile has broken and chunks are missing. Small children (and adults!) can easily trip or get cut on the cracks. We covered these with rugs to avoid injury. In the kitchen there is a cupboard door directly above the sink hanging on only one hinge. It could fall and hit somebody in the head.

*Be aware that the bunk beds do not have rails on the top. While this is not a problem for many older children, there is absolutely no way younger children can sleep up there. We ended up having to double up on the bottom bunks with our smaller kiddos.

*The website states that wifi is offered. There is no wifi password offered at the property. We had to call the owner for the password, which they did give to us. It seems silly not to post it at the house, though.

*There was nowhere to throw away all our trash. There was a rather large trash bin on the front porch, but when you have twenty people there for three days, you need several trash cans. We ended up having to make a run to a dumpster in town in order to manage all the trash.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable enough, the state park was excellent, and for the most part, we got what we expected out of the cabin. Three stars because of the safety hazards. We would recommend this place to large groups looking for a value, assuming the tiles and cupboard get fixed.

Triple oak cabin review

  • 4 of 5

The triple oak cabin was convenient and pretty clean. The tile floor was broken in several places and could have used some repairs. The kitchens and bathrooms were sufficiently stocked with needed items. All in all, I would reccomend these cabins.

Very good cabin/bunk house for a group of people

  • 4 of 5

If you have more than 10 people visiting Broken Bow, this place is ideally located and convenient. Only drawback is there's no washer, dryer or dish washer. Area was kept clean and all linens and paper towels provided. We have carried all this stuff just to be on safe side though. This is dorm style cabin but well designed to suit a nice group of people or a big family. There were plenty tables and chairs to use, rest rooms were clean, thank you Ashey for the nice cabin.

Ok but not what we expected for what we paid

  • 2 of 5

It wasn't a bad trip but it wasn't the best. The pictures need to be updated there were cracks and broken tiles in the main house. The beds were not comfortable at all you feel every spring. The bed sheets didn't smell fresh they had a funk about them pillows as well. Like they haven't been washed in a while. We didn't get to use one of the rooms the first night because of wasps so it was really uncomfortable sleeping doubled up in the beds and a few went to a hotel with the kids who were allergic to the bees and they were not taken care of until the next afternoon. I understand nature happens but if the cleaning lady had wasp spray in the kitchen she was aware of the problem and it should have been taken care of before we arrived. And I think we should have gotten something back for the inconvenience. And one of the showers in the ladies bathroom the hot water never got hot. Which was OK because there is another shower that works. Other than that it wasn't a bad little place.
