Spring break party
There were pro’s and cons to this property. The pros: The property was well designed for a large group. We had 21. The beds were comfortable and had nice linens. The bathrooms were clean and were equipped with soap and towels. Our past spring break trips had all been at state parks so we all liked the luxury of having beds, baths and kitchen. We loved that chairs and tables were provided. Our kids slept in hammocks part of the night and came in and crashed on a bunk when they were too cold. There was a charcoal BBQ grill that we didn’t use and a fire pit. Lots of beautiful firewood was provided which was wonderful. The parking lot was nice and big and there was a trash dumpster located close. Cons: The biggest is location- it is the first set of cabins on that road and so there is a lot of road noise. It was more of a cabin in town feel. But in the other hand we were able to walk to some fun things. There is a big saloon near by too but we were there over weekdays M-W so we didn’t have trouble with noise from that place. The tile throughout the whole cabin is broken and chipping up. Too sharp for bare feet. It probably just all needs to be pulled out and replaced with a linoleum floor or something. We wish the fire pit would have been located between the cabins and we wished there had been power outlets on the exterior of the cabins. Overall we still had a great time and have no regrets. One last thing- never could find an address marker. We just went with the cabin that looked like the photo online then used the code we had and it worked so we figured we were in the right place.
Double booked and charged for temporary cccommodation
This place was double booked and when we reached at 8 PM the bunk house for new year eve celebrations we realized that its occupied. Called Ashley and she gave us a temporary accommodation which is 600 SFT when compared to the 3000 SFT we booked and she said she will arrange a bigger one next day. Being new years eve she couldn't find one and its very bad that she charged us for the temporary accommodation which was in a good condition. Even after several requests she didn't refund the full amount and I had to put a dispute with credit card company. Still fighting with credit card company for the full refund. I strongly recommend to stay away from this fraud people. They don't even have any sympathy of doing double booking. Months of planning of our new year plans went down the drain and ended up driving back home on new year eve.
Great for a group!
Very functional for a group. Sleeping arrangements were nice for separating boys and girls into two cabins. Plenty of room in the living area to spread out, play games, and eat.
The first 24 hours we had no hot water. After telling the owner, a plumber showed up hours later to install a new water heater. A few hours before he got there the sewer backed up into the showers, it was beyond disgusting! We couldn't use the bathrooms at all for 3 hours. After working on the sewer which was draining into a small creek beside the cabin and finishing with the water heater installation it was less than 15 hours before check out time an that was night time. So out of a 48 hour stay it was mostly a miserable time. I still don't know how they can say it sleeps 28 people unless 9 people sleep in a sleeping bag on the floor. The owner did refund us a VERY SMALL amount of our rental fee for our troubles. I definitely would not recommend this cabin unless a lot of work is done.
This cabin sleeps 20, not 28. It says it sleeps 20 in the property description, on all ads, and advertisments. There are 6 bunk beds holding 2 people each and 4 queens holding 2 people each, for a total of 20 people.
The issues that happend during your stay were beyond our control. We do regualar mantanaince on all our cabins and appologized for the issues that happend during your stay. There were guests that checkout the same day that you checked in and they had no issues (that they told us). The cleaning company also had no issues with hot water or plumbing while cleaning the cabin for your stay. As soon as we were made aware of the issues we sent a plumber out. And as you said in your review, there is a new water heater and the plumbing lines were replaced, so these issues shouldn't repeat themselves, as everything that was causing the issues have been replaced.
Hidden but right off the Hwy. I thought that would be an issue but it wasn't. No traffic
We loved it, first time to Broken Bow area and couldn't of picked a better place to stay. Easy access to any and everything this small town had to offer. If you are planning 2-3 day stay you will be disappointed you need at least 4 days minimum we needed 5-6 days to enjoy all it has to offer. Great place for family gatherings and we are already planning next years trip.
Triple oak cabin review
The triple oak cabin was convenient and pretty clean. The tile floor was broken in several places and could have used some repairs. The kitchens and bathrooms were sufficiently stocked with needed items. All in all, I would reccomend these cabins.
