Would stay again
This was an older 4 unit apt in a nice area with easy access to downtown and Edgewater Park. My dog and I felt right at home. Jeff answered immediately when I texted him. Would stay there again.
Has potential, needs repairs and spring cleaning
There were positives and negatives to this rental. Positives were the proximity to attractions, restaurants and a beautiful neighborhood perfect for an evening walk; it's pet friendly, and Jeff was responsive to texts about the apartment. The negatives were the terrible traffic noise that lasted until after 2:00 am, neglected maintenance (drippy faucets, missing bedroom door nob (I had to use a shoe to keep the door closed), and (worse of all) the bathroom ceiling leaked each time the upstairs tenant showered. The ceiling sagged and there was something growing above the toilet indicating this has been an on-going problem. In addition to the maintenance being neglected, this was the dirtiest unit we have ever rented from VRBO, Home Away or FlipKey. The owner needs to hire a crew to do necessary maintenance and give the place a good scrubbing!
Thank you for your review, however, this guest prevented me from addressing anything that she was not happy with.
I offered to send in my plumber to repair the leak, my contractor to replace the door knob, and was even willing to send my cleaning crew back out. She said she didn't want to be bothered and that I should take care of it after her 3 night stay. The leak was apparently above the toilet so she would just open the lid to catch the drip.
The day she left, the door knob was replaced, the leak and ceiling were repaired, and the cleaners came out to do a deep cleaning.
As far as car noise, I lived in this brownstone unit for 3 years myself and was never bothered by it. The building is actually pretty quiet. It is in a vibrant area though with restaurants and shops (even a Lucky Market) nearby so there is some movement. Seldom any noise after 9 PM. I think as elderly people, these guests may have wanted to be in a quiet suburban neighborhood setting.
Great location in a nice neighborhood and close the the water!
My wife, dog, and I enjoyed our Easter weekend at this comfortable, convenient property. It's only a couple of blocks from the water, and the neighborhood is filled with unique architecture. A few restaurants, shops, and convenience stores are within walking distance, and downtown Cleveland is a very short drive. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint, and the WiFi is strong. We had a nice, relaxing visit.
We had a great stay at this location and enjoyed Cleveland! All of our needs were met. This is where we will stay again when we come to Cleveland.
Great home, lots of furniture, felt at home.
This place felt extremely cozy, and really did feel like a home away from home. The building is quite old and the balcony is amazing.
Thank you once again for a great gataway.

This was a Great location! My husband and I are from nj and had never been to Ohio. If you love the architecture of homes in the 1800& eairly 1900s Cleveland delivers! Jeff was very attentive with getting back to me, and the apt was nice.
