This well-appointed, waterfront home is scenic and relaxing. Travel to Kemah and Galveston is easy by land or by sea. All that Houston offers in entertainment and shopping is nearby too, but you'll probably just prefer sitting on the dock of the bay. And speaking of the dock, there is space for your large boat with electrical hook-ups and a mechanical lift for your bay or ski boat. There are even underwater, green fish lights meant to attract fish at night. When you come inside, the fully-stocked island kitchen is waiting with stainless steel appliances and a wine chiller. Watch the big game on either the television in the Living Room or in the Game Room, or just curl up with a good book on the sectional sofa. The Master Suite features a king-sized, memory foam mattress, a walk-in closet, and a large bathroom with a jetted tub and dual shower heads. The 2nd bedroom has a queen-sized, four poster bed, and the 3rd bedroom has three twin-sized beds with built-in storage. The 2nd bathroom has a tub/shower combo and plenty of clean, white linens. The sun sets in the front of the house, so you'll love spending afternoons and evenings with water views from the Kitchen/Breakfast Room, the Living Room, the Master Bedroom or from the covered patio that stretches the width of the house. On the patio, you can dine at the 12-chair, counter height table or relax at the seating area for a more intimate grouping. Since this home sits on a deep water canal, boat traffic is always fun to watch. Sailboats frequent the canal as well as power boats, jet skis and an occasional paddle board or kayak. At dusk, the dock lights come on to illuminate your steps and underwater, green fish lights come on to show you where to toss your hook. This home is just minutes, by land or by sea, from Kemah and Galveston Bay, and just miles from all that the big city of Houston has to offer in entertainment, shopping and dining. Take an afternoon to visit NASA's Johnson Space Center, walk Galveston's Historic Strand District, catch an afternoon Astros, Rockets, Texans or Dynamo game, play a round at one of the many area golf courses, shop at nearby Baybrook Mall or check out the Galleria, jump on a weekend cruise out of Galveston's Cruise Terminal, and the list goes on and on. And with all of these options at your fingertips, we bet your happy place becomes enjoying this house and how it makes you feel at home, relaxed, safe and comfortable. It's close to everything you need but a million miles away from stress. Put your feet up, and stay awhile.

Why Amy Burke chose League City
It was an instant fit for us. It is so warm and inviting. It's ideal for a quiet evening with a good book and perfect to enjoy with a group of great friends. When we're here our family plays hard, eats well and sleeps soundly. We've never regretted the time we've wasted away together on this dock of this bay.
What makes this House unique
You'll enjoy water views from every gathering room in the house. The vaulted, wood planked ceilings in the Living Room and the beautiful Saltillo tile floors make this home warm. The Master has hand scraped wood floors, and the other bedrooms have plush, stain-free carpets. We were careful to stock the home with quality dishes, glassware, utensils and linens. The decor was carefully chosen to be nautical and memorable but casual and comfortable as well. The home is flooded with natural light when you're ready to be awake, but the draperies and plantation shutters offer a restful setting when it's time to sleep. As nice as the inside of the home is, you'll probably spend most of your time outside. The house is west facing, so your afternoons and evenings are more shaded in the backyard making it comfortable to be outside enjoying the boat traffic and dock fishing.

Quiet and relaxing
Great home and hosts! Home is very spacious and provides everything you need for a great stay. Loved being able to keep our boat in the lift. Master bed is very comfortable! Very peaceful and relaxing sitting on the dock watching the boats coming in and out of the canal. Fishing is great as well...one afternoon we caught 6 good size catfish! Home is very close to awesome restaurants and stores. Our favorites were Red River Grill, Fuzzy Tacos, Samurai Hibachi, Topwater Grill, Outriggers and Joe Lees. If my husband has to work in this area again, we will definitely be back to stay in this beautiful home!
Lovely view, restful spot
This home is a lovely place to spend time and enjoy the nearby areas. The house is all on the ground floor, with an easy flow and spacious feel. The decor was fun and really enjoyable. Fishing and boating access are direct on a deep channel to the lake. Great access to NASA and Galveston Island. Traffic to Houston can be heavy, but it is still easily accessible. The outdoor space is terrific with a large covered porch, outdoor dining and lounge space, and also a smaller uncovered space if you need to take in the sun. Amy was a warm and terrific hostess, and always responsive. Parking can be a little challenging if you have multiple vehicles, but it is still do-able. It's a quiet and lovely area with good neighbors and a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay!
It was a pleasure to host your family! I'm glad the house worked so well for you. It is such a special getaway but is not too far from so many desirable locations. It is always a treat to hear that others feel the same way. Please let us know if you're traveling our way again. You and your sweet family are always welcome!
Great house - great owners
Our sailing team rented this property for 12 days and had a terrific time. Excellent setting, close to lots of things. The kitchen was very easy to work in (I cook for the team) and the outdoor eating space was very nice. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The bedrooms were all nice and the house was immaculate when we checked in. The only thing I would change is that there should be a door between the master bedroom and the master bath, for privacy from lots of things!
After receiving excellent and clear instructions on how to arrive, we were greeted to a very clean and charming house. A family with two teenagers and grandparents in tow (half from Norway, half from Canada). Extremely well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of extra towels, sheets and laundry facilities that made our stay easy. Great place to hang out on the dock with the sun is shining. Wonderful lounging sofa to make evening home movies a treat. Very quiet. So close to NASA space centre that the grandparents were able to go home for a rest and return for another 2 hours of the tour. Highly recommend.
Thank you for your kind words. It was our pleasure to host you all! We appreciate the way you cared for the house as if it was your own. You and your family will always be welcomed back! Thanks again... Amy
