About Louis Bischoff
Louis and Molly have been married since 2007. Louis was brave enough to move from Mobile AL into Molly's world in New Orleans. In addition to being "Renovators" for this beautiful historic home, we are raising our amazing daughter, along with 1 dog, 4 cats.
Louis Bischoff purchased this Studio in 1995
Why Louis Bischoff chose Carrollton
I knew it when I first saw the house. It needed me attention, and I wanted to give it. You can get away from the city and still be in the city. Depending on the wind, the sounds of the street car, river boats and trains remind me that my house is located near the river. Carrollton was laid out by Charles Zimple in 1833, and annexed by New Orleans in 1874.
What makes this Studio unique
I can hide from Mardi-Gras up here, or venture out and join the fun within 15 minute street car ride.

Comfortable and convenient!
We had a lovely stay. One block from St. Charles streetcar. Easy walk to NOLA institution Camellia Grill. Restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, drug stores, and DAQUARI SHOP in walking distance (save $$$ and grab one for the streetcar ride and the French Quarter prices). Easy parking, laissez-faire hosts (which made me more comfortable). Cannot recommend enough, would stay there again. 10/10!
Molly and Louis are very friendly.
I had a pleasant stay. If I come back at New Orleans, I will choose their house.
Thank you for your hospitality and your smiles. Everything was perfect.
See you soon,
Cute place in a great location
Perfect for our extra-long weekend stay. Convenient to the St. Charles line and easy driving access to I-10. Lots to do and eat in walking distance. Cool, comfy and cozy-- a nice retreat from our NO adventures.
Charming, Convenient and Quiet
Two of us stayed four days. We had lived in New Orleans so knew this Uptown neighborhood with its pastry shop, restaurants, universities and music scene. We enjoyed not being near the Quarter with its tourist hoard and walked in the neighborhood each morning, getting almond croissants and coffee. The unit itself was brightly painted, clean, splendidly equipped and comfortable. The Zimple House will be our go-to lodging on our next trip to New Orleans.
So glad that you enjoyed your stay in the Satsuma room and it's location. You all were a pleasure to have and we look forward to your next visit.
Perfect little spot for a weekend away
Many thanks to Louis and Molly for a wonderful spot to stay and rest during Jazz Fest!
Quainte & cute
I enjoyed all the restaurants that were nearby. The convenience of the street car being a few blocks away was more than convenient. This was a first time visit for my mom and two sisters so the tasuma room was an enjoyable stay for all us, from the location down to the decorations. Even the beds were so comfortable. Thank you again.
Perfect for parents visiting their Kiddos off to college at either Tulane U, or Loyola U. Just 6 blocks away! 2015 Poboy Festival will be Sunday, 11-22. Just 3 blocks away! Saints football, Pelican basketball, Mardi-Gras, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Easter and all the Holidays, endless Super Dome events, and just being the Big Easy
