You could not have picked a better Neighborhood in Portland! The Nature Suite is mins away from great restaurants, shops, baristas and transportation- train-bus and walking. Besides the neighborhood being so incredible, my home is a fifteen min walk to downtown Portland and Tom McCall waterfront, where you will find Saturday Market, lots of great restaurants , shopping and food carts. Not forgetting to mention, Voo Doo Donuts, Powell Books, the Rose Garden and the Japanese garden. Besides being in the city, there is so much more outside the city, such as, driving to the beach. I have a special place in Cannon Beach that is private and incredible beautiful. You want to see a beautiful NW sunset? Just let me know! I have your whole day planned from sunrise to sunset. You'll drive down to the coast through the forest, walk on the beach and grab ice cream cone in Tillamook and then have an incredible drive back Portland. It is the best of the best drives in the Oregon.
The suite consists of three rooms- off of the kitchen is a private door that will be your entrance and exit. Once in the suite, you'll see a sitting room with couch, chair, TV and internet. This room over looks my well maintained garden and deck, which you are more than welcome to use. Friends? ask
them over for a barbecue, I don't mind at all.
The restroom is between the sitting room and the bedroom. It was updated many years ago when I copied the original floor plan, replacing the plastic tile with ceramic tire. The rest room is photographed the most from my Guests.
The bedroom is very calming. It does have a full size bed. Sorry folks... when they built the house they put the only heat vent on the largest wall, otherwise I could have a queen. My guests don't complain at all. By the time some of them arrive late at night, they would sleep any where. There is also an ironing board, fan, space heater and plenty of storage space and if you need anything, I have it, just ask.
You may do light cooking. If you were inclined to use the oven, please let me know. I use it for storage. I have coffee and tea for you and of course a shelve for you in the refrigerator for your drinks or leftovers.
The suite is very private. You will not see much of me, unless our paths cross in the day. My
office is in my garage and my silk screening equipment is in my studio in the basement. I am usually at Saturday Market selling my product on weekends. I also wholesale my
T-shirts and I do travel around the state but I do my best to be here, or shortly there after when you arrive or depart.
When you arrive, you'll walk to the left of the house towards the backyard. You'll see a gate, make sure the gate is always shut please.
Walk to the back door of the house and there will be a envelope taped to the back door with your name on it and further instructions for the location of the key.
Also, and important, I acquired a small dog from a friend. I've named him Jack Frost. He's a mixture of Chihuahua and not really sure. He was left on the side of the road on MT Hood and a friend of mine found him sleeping. He was so frightened and reluctant at first. It took my friend two hours to capture him. Not having a dog for 7 years ago, and never thinking I could care for another, I was wrong... He's perfect. He does not bark, jump up on you or shed. He wants so little but to be feed and of course walked as I do three times daily. The vet estimates him to be 6-7 years old. I was not sure what my guests would think, but they surprised me! They love him and can't believe someone would just leave him in the woods. He must have been there for a while, because when I first brought him home, he searched for bugs to eat! No more, I'm his chef and he is so well cared for I can't imagine my life without him. He's not going anywhere...
He's mine! That's my story of Jack Frost!
Have any other question? Just ask! So what are you waiting for?
Cheers~Cynthia The Nature Suite
