Great Mid-City Location, close to Jazz Fest, Voodoo Fest, French Quarter
Walk to Jazz Fest or Voodoo Fest or the Bayou Boogaloo... you can even walk to the French Quarter (about 45 minutes) from this classic New Orleans shotgun double in Mid-City New Orleans. 2 Queen sized beds in separate rooms, full kitchen, one bath with large shower, and tv room with a futon that can fold out. It's very close to City Park (with bike and boat rentals and the New Orleans Museum of Art), Bayou Saint John, the Fairgrounds (horse racing and Jazz Fest). Bright, airy, quiet, in an excellent urban neighborhood, not too dense, but close to everything. There are great restaurants, bars, and local groceries just around the corner, and one of the city's more famous bars, Pal's Lounge, is just two doors down.
This property is licensed by the City of New Orleans, permit number 17STR-04290.

The neighborhood was great, everything was clean, plenty of space, great setup and very close to everything in New Orleans! Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
safe and comfortable shotgun
I was very happy with this location. everything was just perfect and I couldn't ask for more. very clean and decorated so cute. I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends. I felt safe coming home alone at night.
Cannot beat this location or quality -- From out of town NOLA native.
Charming home, full of character.
Great place to stay. Good location. Had everything we needed. Would stay here again and recommend it to others. Thanks again Bill for making us feel so welcomed.
Cute, cheery house
Adorable house in a great location; short Uber or cab ride to the French Quarter and downtown. The house was stocked, had everything we needed for our short stay. Bill was responsive and helpful. Would stay there again!
Adorable New Orleans cottage in a great neighborhood
My husband and I spent two nights in this very special shotgun cottage, close to lovely Bayou St. John and gorgeous City Park, in a a quiet old neighborhood where you can easily walk to good restaurants, and even to the French Quarter if you don't mind a longer, but straight walk through mid-city. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed, including air-conditioning and a clothes washer. The rooms were all painted in a festive manner, which made the cottage both cheerful and welcoming. Bill and Nancy, the owners who live across the street, were gracious hosts, and we enjoyed talking with them about their great city. From now on, we will always stay at The Red Door when we visit New Orleans.
