We have rented vacation homes for years, so when we finally bought our own, we tried to outfit it with those items that we felt were missing from the vacation properties that we had rented. In particular we made sure there is sufficient lighting to read at night, ample space for belongings, kitchen tools, and racks for wet towels. The condo is a spacious (1370 sq ft) two level 2 BR, 2 BA mountain home on the top (third) floor. The first floor has a living room and dining room with vaulted ceilings. There is a gas fireplace, 43 inch flat screen TV, 38 inch blue tooth enabled soundbar, new twin mattress set in a semi-private nook for sleeping, and a new dining table and six chairs, with two additional chairs in the hall closet.
The kitchen has granite countertops and breakfast bar with four stools. If you like to cook, you will find just about everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal, including
a full set of chef knives, full set of pots and pans, blender, mix master, crock pot, coffee pot, Keurig, pasta strainers, steamer, barbecue tools, spices, toaster, measuring cups, flour and sugar. If you want some recipe suggestions, there are cookbooks in the cabinet. For serving there are two full sets of silverware, steak knives, wine glasses, champagne flutes, corkscrews, barbecue tools, and serving pieces.
The first floor bedroom has a queen bed, twin bed, and flat screen TV, ample closet space, and a full bathroom immediately outside bedroom. The upstairs master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV, ample closet space, and a full bathroom with two sinks. There are windows in the master bedroom that can be opened and closed overlooking the living room.
The unit has a stackable washer and dryer outside the first floor bedroom. There is ample closet space throughout the condo and free WiFi. The balcony, with new barbecue grill, overlooks the mountains and pines. There are DVD’s, games and books for your enjoyment.
The condo building sits in a quiet wooded area away from crowds and noise with ample free parking. Directly behind the condo is a clubhouse building with a large (nearly 20 yard) indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and showers with available towels. It is a short walk to the Keystone Conference center, tennis club, and Keystone Village, with shops, restaurants, and ice skating rink. There is a Keystone shuttle stop (every 20 minutes) right outside condo that will take you to the ski slopes and other areas of Keystone. You can leave your skis in the ski locker in the foyer of the condo building. There are hiking trails and bike trails throughout Keystone.
We live outside Washington, DC. Lee has been skiing for 27 years and skis one week a month during ski season. Ellen joins him on occasion and we also enjoy hiking in Summit County during summer and fall.
Lee Schneyer and Ellen Sax purchased this condo in 2015
Secluded and quiet property, but with easy access of all Summit County has to offer: skiing, hiking, biking, sailing. On the shuttle route to Keystone and on free Summit Stage route.
Cathedral ceiling in living room and dining room, great light, master bedroom loft, large second bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, lots of closet space, balcony overlooking wooded area, close to clubhouse with indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna.
We are really pleased with how well the condo is stocked—condiments, cooking oil, spices, aluminum foil, shampoo, laundry soap etc., etc. The location is great—close to several resorts, grocery stores and restaurants The owner is wonderful to work with, and provides a comprehensive notebook of area features including information on the ski resorts, maps, restaurants, and how to operate everything in the condo.
Highly recommended! Very convenient to ski areas and towns, owner was friendly and helpful. I would definitely return!
Awesome place. My family was super comfortable and really enjoyed the stay!
We couldn't have asked for a better stay for our family of 6 with room to spare. The unit was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. Plenty of pillows bed sheets, and supplies in the bathroom. The grill was very nice. Fully stocked kitchen with quality utensils, pots and such. A second floor master bedroom was a nice bonus. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! It was spacious and allowed my husband and I to have some privacy while the kids stayed downstairs and very convenient for skiing. We’d definitely rent again in the future.
Really enjoyed all aspects of our stay.
