We have two in-town grocery stores that have most of what you’ll need. We offer clean quality lodging to friends, families, and small groups traveling together visiting Yellowstone National Park and the greater Yellowstone area. Why Faithful Street Inn chose West Yellowstone
Of the 5 towns located just outside Yellowstone National Park, West Yellowstone, Montana, is the most centrally located for touring the park. We are just a one hour drive to Old Faithful Village and one and a half hour drive to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Yellowstone's boundary sits at the east side of town and we are surrounded by national forest on the other three sides. In winter, you can cross country ski or snowmobile right from town to several of the national forest trail systems. We are also close to several area rivers where you can fly fish or go white water rafting.

The Faithful Street Inn Team
We enjoyed our stay. The property is well suited for touring Yellowstone NP.
There were six adults and five children ages 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. The six bedrooms and playroom with two single beds easily met our sleeping needs with rooms to spare. We especially appreciated the open kitchen with island and large dining table. We were able to prepare breakfasts, picnic lunches and suppers while family members talked and the children played around us. The kitchen is well-equipped with nice cooking and serving utensils (except for dulling knives). Rooms were clean and linens were well-chosen.
Thank you for taking time to submit a detailed review to help other travelers. We are happy your group enjoyed the cabin, its amenities, and the location. We try our best to watch for things in need of repair, but do encourage folks to let our on-site staff know if anything needs attention. We will check on those knives! We hope to see you on a return trip.
Perfect for a large group. No complaints from any of our 18! Thanks!
We're glad you enjoyed the cabin. Thanks for your 5-star review.
Nice place with lots of room
We spent 5 nights here with our family of 17. That included 10 adults and 7 kids. There was lots of room for spacing everyone out when needed and we had a good experience. The only thing the kids did miss, and we did too, is that when we would come home from a day at Yellowstone, the kids still wanted to play outside, and there was really no place to do that except in the parking lot. So, they played in the parking lot. :( There is no yard anywhere to speak of. Our kids are aged 12-4, so that might not be an issue for older preteens and teens.
Thanks for taking time to submit a review. We're happy your family enjoyed the Firehole Cabin 418 as your home base. Our in-town location limits space for play areas but there is a city park just a few blocks away.
This will always be my first choice for lodging in West Yellowstone
My hiking group of seven women stayed in this home for one week in late September. It was terrific! Plenty of room for people to spread out and the home was designed to be quiet--those who got up early to start breakfast didn't wake those who slept in. The mattresses are great, kitchen is well equipped. We loved the large dining room table. I appreciated that each room had its separate wall heater for people who like different temperatures. Everyone loved the house.
We appreciate your great review of The Firehole Cabin. Thanks for taking the time to point out some of its specific features to help future travelers plan their trip. We hope to see you again.
Even has a melon ball tool -- no joke
We had a grand time at Firehole 418. We were busy in the Park most days, but the few meals we prepared at the cabin were easy to handle. There was quite a joke when we cut up a watermelon. All the kitchen tools were on hand, even a melon baller. IF you are used to the bare basics of a motel "suite" kitchen, you will be impressed with the supplies here.
Our family had plenty of space. We liked the dining table for ten, plus the 2 small tables and the picnic table. Always room to sit down and visit. There is a deck/porch on the front and the back.
It was great to have a dishwasher with soap, a washer/dryer with soap, and 2 coffee pots with coffee on hand. There are two refrigerators, so you can cool all your drinks. There are six bedrooms with a total of ten beds. We didn't need them all, but we enjoyed the space. Parking is right by the door, grocer and cafes are a few blocks. Only a half block from this cabin is a bakery. It has gluten-free bread if you need it. Also the old faithfull INN dining room had several choices for allergy.
The three bedrooms on the lower level stayed cool. The three bedrooms on the main level had fans provided. Each morning -- we were there in July, the temp was about 47 degrees. So there is no A/C. The afternoons were up into the 80s, so the early evening was warm inside.
We were happy to see big piles of towels. Having four bathrooms was good. The staff came by each day about noon to take away our trash. IT goes into the Bear-proof garbage trailer. All the trash cans in town have bear-proof lids. We didn't have any repair calls, or any problems with system functions. Another family member rented a small cabin in this group and it worked out well too.
Thanks for sharing your experience at The Firehole Cabin. We appreciate your taking the time to provide not only a comprehensive review of the cabin but also a few local tips to help future travelers. We loved having you as guests and hope you'll return for another visit.
