About PHYLLIS AND MICHAEL SCHARF
We both are from New York and have lived here in Fairview since 2000. Loved the lifestyle and the amount of activities that can be enjoyed by all ages in and around the Asheville area.
PHYLLIS AND MICHAEL SCHARF purchased this Townhome in 2000
Why PHYLLIS AND MICHAEL SCHARF chose Fairview
we love this locations because of the quiet and peaceful setting we have. There are no streetlight here so we can see the beautiful stars at night and in the summer watch the lighting bugs and listen to the crickets!
What makes this Townhome unique
We choose this property because it is wooded and is near 1830 acres of conservation easements protecting wildlife along federally scenic byway between Asheville & Chimney Rock State Park.

Phyllis and Michael are absolutely wonderful and made these past 9 days better than we could ever imagine. The house, garden, and surrounding woods are beautiful and in a quiet and peaceful location with great views. The house was very inviting, spacious, and extremely clean. Everything you could imagine is provided from dishes and silverware, to linens, towels, and laundry detergent. The comfortable beds and furniture made for relaxing evenings and restful nights. Phyllis and Michael were very accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. Can't wait for our next visit. Thank you both and your homemade bread was heavenly!
We were so pleased to find this beautiful mountain paradise for a relaxing vacation. It was perfect from the fresh bread to the quiet setting on the mountainside.... everything you could need was available for you.
Everything was top notch including Phyllis and her husband!
Very will taken care of, very clean and enjoyable! I would stay here again.
Remarkable Mountain Retreat
What a remarkable place to stay when visiting the Asheville NC area. A very well maintained, exceptionally clean, and well stocked townhome. It's conveniently located to many locations that are worth visiting when in the area. The home exceeded our expectations and needs. It's even nicer and larger than what it appears in the photos. Phyllis and Michael were such wonderful hosts. As mentioned by others, the fresh baked bread that was provided upon arrival is such a nice touch, plus it was excellent!! The home has everything you need and more. The views out the back of the home are beautiful. We enjoyed eating breakfast while watching the various birds in the front yard. The Sharf's provide plenty of helpful information for the area. We had a great time visiting the Asheville area and it was made even more special to have such a remarkable home to return to each day. We would highly recommend this home to family and friends. We're looking forward to returning to the area and this home in the future! Thank you for opening your beautiful townhome to us.

Very clean townhome, with most everything we needed. Owners happy to provide something if you just ask. Beautiful kitchen, comfortable furniture, good lighting (I like to bring a little sewing on these trips and always appreciate good lighting, and husband likes good reading lights - many rentals do not seem to provide this.) Bathrooms also clean and well organized. The upstairs shower is the nicer one. Very quiet, and peaceful, also a big plus for us. Enjoyed watching and listening to the many birds! Feeling of being in the country but it was close to things we wanted to visit - Biltmore, the Blue Ridge Parkway,. the Arboretum, and getting downtown was no problem either. Owners delightful and helpful, the bread and coffee cream were an added treat - thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home with all we needed for the week. Lovely garden in front. Close to grocery stores, dollar stores, gas yet property is secluded and quiet.
