About the property

5 BR/3BA Cabin with Hot-Tub, Mountain Views, Access to Snowmobile/ORV Trails

Lone Pine Lodge is a spacious, 2400 square foot home located in the Lazy Acres neighborhood of West Yellowstone, Montana. Situated in a meadow next to the Gallatin National Forest, this cabin is the perfect retreat for groups looking for a relaxing, yet adventurous vacation!

The Lone Pine Lodge features the following:

1. A 2015, 500 gallon, 6-person Cal Spa hot tub

2. 10 mbps, high speed internet (due to the remote nature of West Yellowstone, speed may fluctuate)

3. A 2015 55" flat screen TV and 43" flat screen TV with 200 DirecTV channels and a SMART Blu-Ray player

4. 2015 all stainless steel 3-burner Charbroil grill

The Lone Pine features an open floor plan with a living room space connected to the kitchen and dining room. The lower level features an additional living room that is set to entertain with a 55” television, 200 DirecTV channels, and a DVD player. The cabin comfortably sleeps 10 people with 5 bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms. The cabin includes some basic amenities you will need to enjoy your stay including linens, soaps, paper goods, and detergents.

The kitchen at Lone Pine Lodge is well-equipped to handle any meal your family wants to enjoy. Whip up a tasty breakfast with a Belgian waffle maker. On those cold nights, cook up a pot of chili or soup with the large crock pot. If you are in the mood for meat, cook up some steaks or burgers on the new in 2015, all stainless steel, 3-burner Charbroil Grill.

Relax in one of the two outdoor spaces while dinner cooks on the BBQ. Enjoy the gas fireplace or warm up in the oversized 6-person hot tub on a cool evening with a view of Lionshead Peak. While relaxing, stay connected with an upgraded 10 mbps, high speed internet connection instead of the standard 3 mbps internet found in most of West Yellowstone.

If you are looking for entertainment outside of the lodge, the Lone Pine is just minutes away from activities for every season. In the summer, the West Yellowstone area offers hiking, off-road vehicle trails, shopping, restaurants, the Grizzly Discovery Center, the Imax Theatre, the Museum of Yellowstone, The West Yellowstone Adventure Park, and the Playmill Theater. The entrance to Yellowstone National Park is only 8 miles from Lone Pine Lodge and a variety of activities await you just inside the park entrance including fishing, bird and wildlife viewing, and boating.

As the temperatures cool down, the West Yellowstone area becomes a winter wonderland with abundant outdoor activities. Big Sky Ski Resort is just under an hour away. Within Yellowstone National park, snowcoach tours, guided snowmobile trips, cross country ski trails, and snowshoeing are all activities ready to be enjoyed. Outside of the park, there is over 35 km of groomed cross country ski trails and over 400 miles of groomed snowmobile trails with abundant backcountry in the Gallatin National Forest. Access to these trails is just a few doors down; no need to trailer your sleds any further than the lodge. For your convenience, you can also rent snowmobiles in West Yellowstone and ride the trails back to Lone Pine Lodge.

Lone Pine Lodge is the perfect location for your next vacation. Book now to secure the desired time for your memorable trip!

About Ben and Julie Thomas

We are Ben and Julie Thomas. We met while attending the University of Montana in 2004. After getting married in 2007, we moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where we now live and work. Over the last several years, we have traveled to the Lazy Acres neighborhood each winter to enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, and Yellowstone National Park activities. When the opportunity came up to purchase this cabin in the fall of 2015, we decided to get a place of our own in Lazy Acres. We look forward to helping you create the same memories that our family has enjoyed in West Yellowstone.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you Ben and Julie for having such a beautiful home to stay in. It was simply perfect for our family. Definitely big enough for the four of us and my sister in law and her husband. The location is ideal for exploring Yellowstone National Park, and even hiking right behind your lodge. Your lodge had everything we needed, all we had to do is shop in town for food, which was actually fun to do. Loved the view while soaking in the hot tub. Thank you for listing this great place on VRBO !!

We had a fantastic week staying in Lone Pine Lodge with family and friends. Location was perfect, close to Yellowstone National Park and to the town of West Yellowstone for groceries etc.

A perfect spot for a large group/family

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED our family stay at Lone Pine Lodge. We had people from 9 to 90 at the house and everyone was very comfortable. lots of privacy with 5 bedrooms and no waiting with 4 bathrooms! The kitchen was the best stocked of any house we have ever rented. Tons of dishes and spices, plenty of large beautiful mugs for coffee, and brand new appliances. Beautiful views from the kitchen and dining room. We watched a coyote, geese and a crane all from our window. I highly recommend turning out the lights and walking outside to view the stars. Simply breathtaking to see the entire Milky Way. Our hosts Ben and Julie went far above and beyond in helping us, even calling me on the phone when I had emailed her a question. Could not ask for a better house, location or hosts!!

Yellowstone Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at the Lone Pine Lodge. We used this house as our "home base" for traveling through Yellowstone National Park. It was a very short and easy drive to the West entrance which is a gorgeous road into the park. The hot tub was in perfect condition and we enjoyed using it each night to relax after hiking. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for cooking dinner in. Having so many king sized beds was a plus for our group with 3 married couples. The beds were extremely comfortable. The owners were super easy to work with and responsive. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from home near Yellowstone National Park!

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

This was absolutely perfect for our extended family vacation. We had 10 people in the house and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kids loved the house and their rooms. The kitchen was well stocked as far as dishes and pans go. We had enough bed and bathrooms to go around. We even saw some wildlife up close. We didn't want to leave when the trip was over. I would highly recommend Lone Pine Lodge.

Amazing house - could not have been better

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with a total of 7 adults and 4 children and the house had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Had 2 tv (family rooms) - one for the children and 1 for adults. There were plenty of bathrooms for everyone. House was fully stocked with everything you could imagine you could need. We had a little glitch when we first arrived but the owners were on top of things and very responsive and everything was resolved shortly to our satisfaction and the owners followed up to make sure all was fine. Great location just outside of the town and close to the park. the hot tub was a bonus to use at the end of a day of touring.

Awesome experience!

  • 5 of 5

I just couldn't ask for anything more. Great rooms, beds, very clean and nicely decorated house. Had a great"mountain" feel to it (see pictures - although it is even nicer that the pictures portray). Everyone in our party had their own room and with 3.5 baths, there were no bottlenecks trying to get out of the house in the morning. Very quiet neighborhood too. Julie (owner) is awesome, super-nice and very responsive (even to my endless stream of questions)! I highly recommend this VRBO!
