It was ok, but the shuttle was unreliable
The 3 bedroom deluxe itself was equipped with all the amenities one could need and the beds were comfortable. The room had definitely been well used, but was very clean. The added bonus of the pull out sofa bed was perfect. Having a washer and dryer as well as a complete kitchen and two bathrooms made our longer stay with our large group manageable. Every bedroom had a TV, as well as the main living room area. The heating/AC worked perfectly, no complaints or issues with the climate controls. The curtains did block direct sunlight, but were not complete blackout curtains, which meant after a night of partying we still got up the next day with the sunshine ☀️. That wasn’t so bad though, as it gave us an opportunity to lounge about the pool area.
The pool area was quite clean and nice. I was relieved that it wasn’t grungy, as I can be a bit of a germ freak. The hot tub was perfect! The pools were excellent as well, although intermittently closed to allow for regular cleaning. As we were there during a bit of a cold spell, the splash pad wasn’t in use – but that would be excellent for the summer time for travellers who have small kids who want to run around in the water but can’t swim.
The staff were extremely polite and helpful towards me, the primary room holder, but less helpful and polite to my guests. On our first day, one of the staff members told the guests who were staying with me that the staff will refuse to help them and if my guests required help or required assistance, I would have to be the one to personally request help. This was quite bothersome, as we were a large group of 10 people staying for 7 days. I had to be the sole person to request a change of towels, ask for general directions, answer the phone... this all being said, once a request was made by me, the staff were prompt to address whatever I had inquired about.
As for the shuttle, it was fairly easy to use to get off the property, but the first evening (and last I tried to depend on it) it did not show up to pick us up. We showed up early so not to miss the 2nd last pick up time, waited for an hour and a half, called the manager of the shuttle 3 times, and eventually had to take 2 Ubers back to the Wyndham. Granted, the manager was extremely apologetic and even reimbursed the cost of the Ubers, but after waiting for an hour and a half our entire group was beyond exhausted, grumpy, and had sore feet. No one was in a mood for “play” after waiting.
