THE VILLAGE OF RADIUM:
Radium Hot Springs, informally and commonly called Radium, is a village of approximately 800 people situated in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia. The village is named for the hot springs located in the nearby Kootenay National Park. From Banff, Alberta, it is accessible via Highway 93. Radium Hot Springs is known for the famous hot springs mineral pools which are only a 5 minute drive from the resort but there are also 13 golf courses within a 30 minute drive along with 2 ski hills, Panorama Mountain Resort and Fairmont Hot Springs Ski Area.
Radium is located 16 km north of the tourist town of Invermere, and 105 km south of Golden, British Columbia. It is located at the junction of Highway 95 and Highway 93, in the Columbia River valley, between the river and Kootenay National Park.
Wildlife in the area includes mule deer, grizzly bears, black bears, mountain goats and Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep.
INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE HOT SPRINGS:
The hot springs complex itself contains two large pools, one with hot water for soaking (usually around the temperature of 39°C (104°F)), the other a 2/3 Olympic swimming pool that is usually around 29°C (84°F). There is also a hot-tub sized pool that has been dubbed the "Plunge Pool", because the water can be hot - right from the source at 44°C (114°F) - or cold, right from a creek running beneath the pools.

We are a family of 5- two teenagers and 1 toddler- and this condo was set up perfectly for our family.
It was exceptionally clean, had every amenity you could think of (which was especially convenient in the kitchen) and is in an excellent location (park, pool, lake, shops, golf, hot springs).
The pool in the complex was well used and a great perk of choosing this condo.
It was very reasonably priced, and the owners were excellent at communicating with guests. Our only regret was that we didn't book for the full week!
Thank you for your kind words. We are happy you and your family had a great stay in Radium. We look forward to have you back for your next vacation.
Wonderful / relaxing stay in Radium
We stayed in this condo for 3 nights. We are a family of 4 including 2 toddlers ( 3 and 5 years). We have travelled to Radium several times, but this was our first stay in this condo. The condo was very clean and has beautiful furnishings. It has everything you need for your stay for cooking/ laundry etc. The apple TV and free wireless internet were a big bonus. The condo is fully equipped for long stays and a wonderful home away from home. The condo is spacious and well designed. The condo has an amazing communal swimming pool and hot tub. Our kids loved it and it was a big highlight. The whole complex is very clean and well maintained. Overall we had a wonderful stay and we can't wait to visit this place again soon.
Thank you for keeping your place clean and nice and safe. We HIGHLY recommend this property and will be back again.
My fiancé and I got this exceptional opportunity to stay in this condo for 2 nights during our road trip through the Rockies. What a beautiful condo! Tastefully decorated, equipped with everything you need for cooking, laundry and local restaurant/tourist information. It was super comfortable and spacious and the owners were very accommodating. It was the perfect place to recharge our batteries after long days of driving and exploring, with plenty to do when we wanted to get outside. The apple TV in the main living area was a welcomed extra in the condo for our quiet nights. There are also video games in the den. The condo is on the first floor and right around the corner from the building entrance so it was very easy to access and move right in! We even had some welcomed visitors in our front yard... the deer were not shy! It is steps away from the condominium pool area and minutes away from hiking trails and the hot springs (I recommend the Juniper trail to anyone!).
Overall, I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and thoroughly impressed. It truly was the perfect "home away from home." I recommend this condo to any family or small group that are looking to explore the Kootenay National Park or the Radium/Invermere area for ski/golf.
