Ask a questionAbout Darin and Sarah Kojis
We were high school sweethearts from rival rural schools in SE WI. We have traveled the world with the military, corporate jobs and for personal adventures together. We have raised three wonderful children and we are the 5Ks, plus a son in law whom we adore. This year we celebrated 35 years of marriage, and the best is yet to come. Darin works in the corporate IT world and is passionate about fishing, cooking and smoking delicious meats. It was his dream to live on the water, and this Chalet is his dream come true. Sarah worked in the hospitality venue for years, traveling to train associates in the standards of customer service. Sarah works at a church in Wauwatosa as the office administrator. Her hobbies include reading, photography, and papercrafts. Her passion is to share her love of natural living through the use of essential oils and DIY personal care products. We are excited to share our dream home with you, our guests and hope that you will experience peace and refreshment to your soul at our tranquil and remote property.
Why Darin and Sarah Kojis chose Oneida County
We fell in love with Rhinelander several years ago after visiting friends there. Once we decided to look into a vacation home, Rhinelander was our first choice due to the beauty and the quiet pace of the area. Once we step onto the land, we sensed a peace and felt at home. Others have expressed this same peace when they are at the Chalet. This home is located on a long gravel road that ends at a cul de sac, turns down a long wooded drive and it opens up to the riverfront. You can stand on the deck and look 180 degrees and see NO other homes or people. You will hear the wildlife singing their songs throughout the day and evening. The tranquility is refreshing to your soul.
What makes this House unique
The view of the everchanging river is mesmerizing whether from the Loft, relaxing in the leather chair beside the fireplace in the Great Room, or eating a meal at the barn wood table, lounging in the wicker chairs on the screened in porch or rocking on the deck. You will see the beauty in the wildlife, the hardwood trees across the 200 yards of river. Beautiful sunsets can be watched from anywhere on the westward facing property. Gather around the fire circle with camp songs, and the treats of s'mores. In the dark of the night, you will see the Big Dipper and a multitude of breathtaking stars. Use the telescope to explore the skies each evening. Two paddleboats, four kayaks, and a canoe can take you exploring the coves and inlets along the 5 miles of uninhabited waterfront. Once on the property, you have all the comforts of home and the benefit of being in the midst of a wilderness.
