I travel a lot and come to Orlando on business and occasionally I bring my family as I did on this occasion. The home was as pictured and compared to a hotel with my family coming along the value was incomparable. The villa was well maintained and I believe it is a good spot for anyone on a budget looking for a quality vacation home.

Don't stay here!

Dirty. Roaches. Stained Linens & pillows. Stains on sofas. Marks on walls. Dirty Carpet. Smudges on the light switches. Mold in the sliding doors. Mold in the ice maker part of the freezer (refrigerator). Paid for pool heat and it was never turned on (I'm still waiting for my FULL refund to be processed-which they promise is coming). All of the amenities described in the overview were not provided. Air Hockey table doesn't work. Computer doesn't work. We didn't spend much time in the house because we were at the parks most of the time, however, when we returned back to the house we found a roach crawling down through the ice maker (and by the way it's not from leaving the door/windows open or from leaving food out--we didn't do any of those things--this property simply had bugs). On our first day there, we walked through all the rooms; to our shock, in the kids room, there was a woman's swimsuit panty liner stuck to the dresser drawer. I submitted multiple emails and made multiple phone calls--didn't receive fast responses. The only fast response received was when we requested an iron and ironing board. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else. We paid standard rates. No discount. We could have easily afforded to stay somewhere else. The pictures and property description were deceiving. I had to submit a formal complaint in order to submit this review. I wondered why no one else has submitted reviews on this property. The property owner did not send me an email with the link to do this review on the day of checkout (which he is supposed to do according to VRBO's guidelines). I understand why he wouldn't want to send links to the people who have rented his property--the house is in poor condition. I have photos and videos to back up every statement made here. This home is seriously neglected and outdated. The property owner was very difficult to get in touch with--I had to search his name online to find his cell phone #. We will never stay here again! The property owner is actually the owner of another company that manages many, many vacation rentals. After our stay, I googled the property owner's name, and I found multiple BBB complaints and other poor reviews. Tip to potential travelers: do a thorough search on property owners before booking. Don't book a property that doesn't have a rating. The owner will probably say he's had hundreds of great reviews on his properties--don't believe it on this one! You deserve better!

Owner's Response: I would normally reply with apologies and from time to time I will make a mistake but in this instance the whole situation was bizarre so I will try and be as professional as I can with this reply, however this guest has bombarded myself and my staff and feel there is no use continuously explaining myself to her, rather I will try and give an account for anyone else reading this. Hosting this guest was a nightmare from start to finish and I wish I could warn other home owners not to host to her as it is was continuously chastising experience. Firstly, I did experience a failure of the pool heater - the thermostat broke and the pool repair company could not get the part for 3 days because it was a weekend. I was and am very sorry about this and I did refund the guest the pool heat which the guest says she has not received - however she received a receipt and was told it could take some time to show up on her credit card. The cause of the review seems to be that she does not believe we refunded the pool heat - I also refunded her an additional $50 in good faith trying to be as apologetic as possible for that was a genuine pool issue. I did also note the computer not turning on - again, I apologized about this. However, the rest of the issues described are absurd. The air hockey table I sent someone over while the guest was in the house - it did not work because she did not have it plugged in. The house was and is spotlessly clean - the only way bugs get in is through being opportunistic is doors are left open and if they are looking for food, water and shelter. I have taken the precaution of sending our pest care company over to the home but they too found no evidence of any bugs. The ice marker maker is working fine and apart from the noted faults with the pool heater and computer all amenities were delivered as promised. In terms of my bad reviews and BBB reviews. I am not aware of anything other than an A rating and I believe 2 complaints in 4 years and thousands of reservations across 65 homes. In regards to having to submit a complaint to leave a review – anyone can leave a review anytime, it dumbfounds me to have to explain this over and over again. I note my home here doesn’t have reviews from other guests however I will be reaching out to every past guest this year and asking them to leave an honest review of the home so other guests can see what other people think – I cannot say how crazy this whole situation was & how happy I am it is over
