What makes this Apartment unique
Our brick, Greek Revival home was build in1848, and we have worked for years to beautifully restore it. A grocery store, bakery and art gallery is located across the street.

Great Location and Space
We loved the space here, it was a perfect location to access Freeport, Bowdin College and other area attractions we were visiting. Check out the great marketplace across the street - wonderful spot to grab a bite or for making a meal while staying here. The apartment itself was a great fit for our family - clean, quaint and ample room for our two children, my husband and I. Off street parking and easy access to the highway made this a great option for us.
Clean place but that is about all this place has to offer.
Home Away has air conditioning listed as one of the rental agreements, but there was NO air conditioners on site, just two small fans. We sweated the first two humid nights there. Also, no curtains in bedroom windows which sucks when you want to sleep in a little later. Very bright in bedrooms if you like that sort of thing. Most of the windows you could not open because there was no screens in many of the windows. The place was clean but that was about all to like about this place. Also, we were told to take off our shoes when coming into the apartment which is on the second floor. This is a huge hassle because there is not enough room to slip off your shoes in the narrow walkway, and when your hands are full with luggage and bags it becomes dangerous walking up the slippery steps with no shoes on. I wish they would have put that in their description about the shoes before hand, because I would've have spent the extra money and stayed somewhere else. Overall, I would not stay here again.
Charming stay for the shopper, foodie, beer & wine geeks, and outdoor enthusiasts!
This well maintained apartment met every expectation. It was well equipped & nicely updated while maintaining its old world charm. Tom and Sevtlana warmly met us upon our arrival and stayed in touch to assist in making our visit to Maine enjoyable. We "dined in" a couple times on fresh steamed lobster even though it was available at many restaurants close by. Depending on your interests, you are a short distance to everything Maine has to offer!
We strolled the streets of the quaint village; paddled the beautiful rivers and ocean; mountain biked single track trail and ocean shores; shopped in Freeport & Portland; enjoyed restaurants fresh abundance of the sea; and, sampled the tastes of many micro-breweries!
We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family. For a "couple", you get the quiet comforts of home allowing you to relax and enjoy your visit to Maine. Thanks again Tom & Sevtlana!
Sincerely, Mike & Julie Corbin (Iowa)
