Laid-back and roomy
I stayed here with my husband and six teens, our 15-year old son and our 17-year old daughter and her four friends. There was plenty of room in the cabin/bunk house for the girls to hang out and have some space of their own. The main cottage was great for the rest of us. We rented a pontoon boat from Boats and Beyond, one of the recommended rental places provided by cottage owners. The lake is a quiet family lake with good fishing. We towed a tube around and did some paddle boarding. These can be conveniently rented nearby. A good grocery store is also a short drive from the cottage as well as Nisswa village with restaurants and tourist shops and there’s mini golf and co carts nearby too. The fire pit, kayaks, and bbq on the property were great. The kitchen was well equipped for standard lake vacation with kids cooking. We enjoyed sitting watching the lake and drinking our coffee while the teens slept in most days. If you don’t have kids this would be a very quiet relaxing place for a vacation. We saw loons, some kind of heron and even an eagle. In mid August it was hot and the AC worked well. I would definitely recommend this vacation rental. It’s a bit far from Chicago where we drove from but otherwise we would stay here regularly.
It was a very, very nice home.
the only criticism I have is that there was not enough room in the garbage cans to put all of our garbage. The owner needs to probably look into getting another large garbage can so we don't have to put garbage bags by the curb.
other than that, it's a great place if you have a big group. Lots of beds. Great dock and swimming area. The house is clean and nice. The lake is beautiful and quite clear. We will stay again!
Thank you for staying with us. Garbage has been an issue. We currently have the largest they offer, but are ordering another trash can ASAP. We just ask our guests to move the can(s) 30 ft. to the end of the driveway on Monday night for trash pickup on Tuesday's. This does not always happen, and causes problems for future guests. Come back soon please. Taylor
Great Space and Room to spread out!
We loved the home! Having the guest quarters worked perfect for our families! The expansive yard gave us plenty of room to play catch and yard games in and the fire pit was awesome!!
Highly recommend this property!
We enjoyed our stay. Nice accommodations. Grandchildren and adults enjoyed Lake Hubert. A ladder from dock into the water would have been helpful.
Beautiful well kept property
We loved it
Had a large group of college friends come into town for a reunion. The main cabin provided 2 rooms for those that enjoyed sleeping in, and the guest house added PLENTLY of extra space for all 12 of us. The lawn is surprisingly large for a lake lot, must be closer to 200ft. Lots of space for yard games and a nice fireplace. The lake was great, Hubert is very clear and mostly sandy -- its hard to tell from the pictures but this lot is elevated and there is no beach in front-- great views and great swimming. One note is that is property is right along Co Rd 13, and cars can be fairly loud when driving past. It is a pretty heavily traveled road. Overall a great stay and a great place!
Thank you for staying with us at our property. Please come back soon. Taylor
