PRIVATE and on the RIVER. Beautiful 2br/ 2 1/2 ba w/ hot tub and more

Bedrooms 2
Half Baths1
Property type lodge
Minimum Stay 2 - 7 nights

About the property

2 Bedroom, 2 1/2 Bath With View Of The River.

Castaway Creekside offers our guests the perfect park-like setting, ten feet from the edge of the Little Pigeon River, one of the Tennessee’s preeminent mountain trout streams.

While located only a few miles from the back guest entrance to Dollywood and Dollywood Splash Country, you cannot see another home or road from this cabin. Not even in the winter, and not even from any portion of this cabin’s 7 acre lot. Being the next to last cabin on a private gravel drive, the only sounds you will hear will be from the River.

Castaway Creekside boasts 700 feet of river frontage on this fantastic trout stream.

Although we don’t expect the electronics get used much, Castaway Creekside has wireless internet service and premium cable channels through Direct TV, the living room, loft and each bedroom have flat screen televisions with DVD’s, and a large selection of DVD’ are provided.

Castaway Creekside is decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques and modern luxurious furnishings. The king size canopy bed in the master bedroom is so “over-the-top” that it defies description in words. With hand woven oriental rugs, leather sofas and seating, every part of this home is welcoming.

For the children or your personal “inner child”, the main level bedroom feature a camping theme, with a custom “half tent” queen twig bed and rustic furnishings and antiques which captures a unique camping theme.

The top floor loft includes a foosball soccer table, larger flat screen television with DVD, and beautiful view through the living room strait to the river. With leather sleeper sofa and leather rocking chairs, the loft mirrors the comfort and quality of furnishings on the other two floors.

Each bedroom has its own full bath. The loft has a half bath. The Kitchen and baths feature granite or antique countertops, cherry cabinets, brand new high-end appliances and calphalon cookware. Bring food, you will not want to leave this cabin to go out to eat, and the kitchen is fully equipped with that in mind.

Castaway Creekside has numerous and spacious decks which wrap around the cabin and “stair-step” down to the river. Whether relaxing in the hot tub or enjoying a book to the sounds of the rapids, you will not find a more relaxing and picturesque setting than beside this beautiful river.

For the fisher-men and women in your group, we have an assortment of light fishing gear but always recommend our guests bring their own “familiar” equipment. Applicable licenses and permits are required. The cabin is located on the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River .

This place was amazing! We found everything very organized and cleaned. The staff was very helpful and attentive to all of our needs. My kids loved the creek and went fishing everyday. The hot tub was clean and we used it every night. We had plenty of room, we had 4 adults, 1 teen, 1 child, and baby. The cleaning to floor windows were my favorite feature. Waking up to the sunrises were priceless and watching the sunset every evening was memorizing. We had plenty of room for my KIA SUV and a Chrysler sedan in the drive way. I would advice you if you going in the winter months you will need snow chains or good vehicle with traction. The road is only one vehicle wide leading to cabin, but traffic isn't an issue. If you want yo be close to town but feel secluded this is the place to be. I would with hands down visit this cabin again. Thank you one again to Diana and her professional staff.

Beautiful property!

This is a beautiful relaxing place to stay! The drive in is a bit scary in a car, the road is very narrow and rough. The cabin was wonderful! The living room sofa could use replacing it not very comfortable and the springs are worn out you sit very low and the front of it hurts the back of your legs. Other than that it was amazing and we would definitely go back!

Great place to stay.

Really enjoyed the view and cabin was very clean. Had a problem with Jacuzzi heating when we first arrived but called the office and they sent someone out immediately and fixed it. Very secluded with an unbeatable waterfront mountain experience!

Loved the secluded area! I've been renting from Twin Cedar Cabin Rental for 10+ years and have never been disappointed!

Factors that would have impacted my decision to rent this cabin were never disclosed.

  • 2 of 5

Upon arrival after dark due to length of travel we arrived to find that our vehicle was not an adequate fit for this location. No turn around to accommodate us. Making it extremely dangerous to come and go from the cabin. Inadequate supply of towels for a family of 5 as well as plates, bowls etc. Broken cabinet in kitchen. Poor water pressure for washing dishes. Broken outdoor furniture. Middle sofa in living room needs replacing. Table in living room is unstable. Chairs in dining area need felt on the bottom to eliminate noise. Shower head in guest bedroom is in the wrong location. Only adequate for small children height. We were forced to use one shower the entire trip. Furniture drawers on several are difficult to open. Therefore were not used. It's not a cabin I will look to reserve in the future.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our cabin. I am sorry you had some issues at the cabin. There is a turn around area just past the cabin and as for the dishes and towels I am very sorry something as simple as that was overlooked. I have talked to my staff to make sure this has been taken care of and will not be over looked again. As for the furniture inside and out I will be looking at it and replacing what needs it and have not had any issues with the shower head on the main level bath, but will install a different shower head. Again I am sorry for the inconvenience and wish I could have taken care of them for you during your stay. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and would like to hear from you again in the future.
