Enjoyed the rental
We were very pleased with our stay. The location was handy for every place we wanted to visit. And the home was nice and neat, and, as we opened drawers and cabinets, we found about everything we would need in detail. The hot tub was refreshing, nice work area for the laptop, big screen TV and most of all, incredible mountain view from about every room. We visited Brasstown Lodge for dinner (we've been there several other times in the past...always perfect dining) and we wanted to take Hawg Wild Barbecue restaurant back to home with us. Thanks to the owners for providing a great stay in Hiawassee. We'll be back some day.
Glad you had everything you needed. Brasstown Valley Resort is lovely this time of year! Hope to see you soon!
Great location, clean and comfortable.
My expectations, very comfortable.
Thanks Simon! We aim to please! Hope you had a great time with BMW Motorcyle Rally at the fairgrounds.
Enjoyable Home Away From Home
This house was everything and more that we needed. My friend had her own suite and I had mine. However, the way the house is laid out; it would be very easy to use the sofa that makes into another large bed and have access to one of the bathrooms without disturbing the occupants of the bedroom with the queen size bed. There is adequate room in the sunroom off the master suite and the screened for a single size blow up bed or in the large living room for one. A couple blow up beds might crowd the area but with kids sometimes that might be needed and there is plenty of space for it. All the amenities are awesome. The decks and porch areas would really be enjoyable in warm weather. The proximity to shopping, eating, area activity places but most of the GA Mtn Fairgrounds is wonderful. There is a computer there and the Wi-Fi worked great for us. Definitely a place to take 2 or 3 couples or a family who enjoy each other's company and I can me see staying there again myself. All in all, it is assuredly a home away from home and a place adequately equipped for all your needs. It is also evident that the owners keep it well maintained and provide more than enough information once you have made your reservation so that you can prepare yourself by knowing what is there and what you need to do or bring with you. The information book is awesome instructions concerning all you need to know about the house and its contents/amenities as well as what is expected of you as a guest. The welcome book also contains pamphlets that inform you of eating establishments and activity opportunities so if you are an active family interested in being on the go...you know just what is available within the area and exactly where it is. The neighborhood is very quiet even though there are nearby houses. We did enjoy our stay tremendously.
I am glad you and your companion enjoyed your stay at our 2nd home. I hope the concert was great. Hope to see you again. Thank you.
We loved the cabin, so nice and cozy. Enjoyed the fire pit at night. We spent Thanksgiving there and just had a great time. Took a trip to the casino, which was a short drive. Would definitely recommend!
Thanks for the review Laura - Glad everything was to your liking. I hope you had good luck at the casino! We hope to have you again!
We enjoyed staying here for the weekend. Great location and conveniently close to the fairgrounds.
I am glad you enjoy your stay! It is close to the Fairgrounds, which we like when we go to concerts and festivals there. Hope to see you again and Thank you!
Overall a good stay! Pros: Kate was very responsive and accommodating, and the house itself was very cute and comfortable. It's in a good location - convenient to the lake, Hiawassee, and restaurants. Nice, large screened in porch, and the hot tub is also a nice bonus. Cons: Although in great proximity to town for convenience, it's close to the main road so that there's a lot of road noise when sitting outside. Also, this house is great, but the other homes on the street are not so well kept and are VERY close. In fact, you have to be careful not to hit one home as you pull out of the driveway! It impacts the view quite a bit. You do see the mountains, but you also stare right at the house in front of you from the porch. The hot tub is by the carport, so it's great for privacy, but you also don't get a view when sitting in it.
Thank you for the Pros and Cons. I am glad you had a nice stay and it is a shame that you could not stay that extra day that you wanted too. Just wanted you to know we are in the process of having the sun porch strengthened to accommodate the Hot Tub so you can see all the lovely views. But in the meanwhile we did not want to keep the Hot Tub all to ourselves. I also just wanted to say that homes on mountain sides are tricky. Thanks for coming!
The new Valley River Casino in Murphy is just a 20 minute ride to try out you gambling skills. North Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds is a great venue with many artists performing and less then a mile away. From Country, Jazz and Rock. Lake Chatuge with its majestic scenery and many marinas to rent jet skis, kayaks, pontoon boats and speed boats. Take a train ride through the gorge or the Polar Express in the Winter. Hiking galore. Many of the fine shops in town. Come up in the Fall for Leaf Peeping its the best around.
